I never was into MMORPG's, never understood the joy people got when playing them.

Regular RPG's was something diffrent. I only played 2 of them, but i enjoyed them all=Fallout universe and Knights of the old republic

Seeing this trailer, i am sure i am gonna buy this game. And i really hope, that with the filming type this trailer was made, a movie is being brought up with. I would defiantly watch it

It's a TV series, well 2 TV series I've heard, first one is out next year - about Darth Vaders secret apprentice, then one about the Old Republic that Kyle geezer, you know the one with the beard and stuff.

*generic jedi format of beard and stuff noted...
LINK???
-i am fairly sure that if they took porn off the internet, there would only be one website left and it would be called bring back the porn "Perry cox, Scrubs.

Being a star wars noob I would have said the trailer was set during the clone wars due to the uniforms and stuff.

Yeah, the dudes in white made me think of ARC troopers (specialized clonetroopers).

I just cant get into this Old Republic nonsense. Why does Star Wars have to be all about the Force and lightsabers? I am more of an old school Han Solo kind of fan who takes the blaster over a saber anytime. I guess Im too old fashioned.

You are not alone.

Seriously, I like taking a lightsaber and smash everything, but then you're missing out on several aspects of the SW world - fly with the Boba Fett jetpack, deploy Auto-turrets and defend a point with that and your MG, etc. etc.

You don't have to use a lightsabre :p

During this era, the Mandalorians were allied with the Sith empire. In SW:TOR you can play as a Boba Fett -esque bounty hunter if you so wish. In fact, you can even see a Mandalorian with a jetpack in the trailer.

I didn't quite understand the part with deploying auto-turrets and MG's.

True. But drones were always part of SW. From the reflex training of Luke in the MF to search-drones and questioning-drones.

I would just like a Storm-trooper wit a Blaster rifle or a recon rebel with a blaster pistol.

I'm not very much into Star Wars, I always liked space combat most. And I'm not into lightsabres, close combat or superpowers either. So, I'd be the guy with the minigun.

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

OK, let's just leave Battlefront somewhere there and stay with The Old Republic.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game by BioWare. This being a BioWare game, there is a huge emphasis on the story. The game is set in time 350 years after the Exar Kun war, 300 years after the Knights of The Old Republic and more than 3 500 years before Episode IV.

There are two factions, The Republic + The Jedi and The Sith empire.

Some of you seem to think TOR is only lightsabre hack & slash. This is definitely not the case. Player can of course be a lightsabre wielding Jedi or a Sith-inquisitor, but that's just a part of the game. You can join the republic army as a bad-ass Trooper with shiny armour and blaster rifle or fight for democracy and freedom as scruffy-looking nerf-herder.. no, I mean a Smuggler

And if you hate freedom and peace, you can play as a Sith warrior or an Imperial agent. And since some of you like Boba Fett, good news! You can also play as a Bounty hunter.

And yes, there will be droids. Maybe you can even purchase an astro-mech droid for your personal space ship.

I do already think there should be a third non-faction then. So you could make a career being neither good or evil but following your own goals, like Lando Calrissian did. My goal would be my own mining facility with a cloud city over bespin, a few thousand slaves, some tiny space-dockyard hidden in an asteroid and excellent relations with pirates around. But I guess I'm asking for too much.

So what, the clones invaded Middle Earth? Would they finally reveal wht the force is? Might it be connected with the one ring?
I'm taking my own freedom
puttin' it in my song
singing loud and strong
proving all day long
I'm takin' my freedom
puttin' it in my stroll
I'll be hop-steppin' y'all
lettin' the joy unfold
