then it would be annoying, because everytime you went to change altitude you would hear the sound go off.

Can you make it so it only activates when going down?

No, not on this engine...

Hence why you have to press a buton to active the horn.  It's eiher that or no dive sound at all.

I always use it and use proper stuka dive manuevers.  ;D

But if you could make it sound more intimidating and less like a car horn. That would be great.

I agree it's not got the same wow factor as FH1's divehorn.  I tend not to use it, it's an airbrake too (isn't it?), so I'd rather not be slowing down when diving down on a bofors position as I'll need the speed to get away in the likely event there is something else hanging about watching me.

But could we have it as a toggle instead of a press-and-hold? Would be more practical if it was possible I think.

And for those who liked FH1's divehorn you can still use it in FH2 if you want. I posted some instructions on some threads in the old forum, but all you have to do is download the FH1 stukadive sound here if you don't have it already. You might have to right-click and choose "Save as..." if you are using IE.

Now go to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\fh2.

In there you should open the objects_client.zip file.
Inside this zip file go to Effects\Sounds and there should be a stukadive.wav sound there, which is FH2's stuka dive sound.
Do a backup of it by extracting it wherever you want.

Finally drag and drop the stukadive.wav file you downloaded above onto FH2's stukadive.wav and replace it.
