Haha, the SSD I ordered arrived today.  Fortunately I'd just got back home, so I got the actual package and not a little red slip telling me I'd have to wait all weekend to pick it up.  So now I have a working laptop again.  And it turns on soooo fast.

Sounds awesome, hope you get the job! More FH people are needed in this great city.

Indeed, weather is absolutely wonderful, and how will I spend my weekend?
-In front of books. Get up at 10 AM, read non-stop from 12:00-20:00, go to bed. Today, tomorrow and sunday.
On monday the exam starts, 48 hours to write it, which will be stressful. I can't wait to have a life again afterwards.

Edit: checked my bank-account to see how large paycheck I got for last month when I only worked 1 day. Only to see my grandma had sold some stock and transferred a larger sum of money to me. With tax-return coming soon, I'll have it made.

Interview - Check!

Spending 24 hours in Stockholm with two of my best mates that I never get to see - Check!

A perfect Friday. Interview earlier in the morning, went out through the beautiful city, watched the changing of the guards and got so many flashbacks from my days in the Army. Good times but I don't want to do that again in that weather.

A lot of beer with my mates on different pubs and then we went to a tall mountain and watched the sun go down.

Epic. Life isn't that hard to make it enjoyable.

Returned from a vacation in Belgium (for mah fix of Mattentaarten). Took the kids to them parks, swimming, etc. Nice and relaxing. Yet little did I knew what the future would bestow upon me.

You might remember me bitching about Belgian highway, they are still terrible, but there now lurks an even greater danger.......... the Belgian driver! Get this. I was driving behind a red van, who was overtaking a car. This was on a two lane high way (A10 from Oostende to Brussel). When suddenly the red van swerves to the right.
I was like ok, nothing out of the ordinary for a typical Belgian motorist. When they are not tailgating they do all kinds of other crazy shit.
With the red van out of my way I see a car COMING STRAIGHT AT ME. I hit the brakes, jerk my car to the right and get behind the car I was overtaking. My heart pounding, I thought ... Only in Belgium, only in Belgium and thank God for ABS, EPS and traction Control.

tl;dr For thrill of your live, drive on Belgian highways.

A lot of places around Old town, but mostly the time was spent on Engelen. Skinnaviksberget it was! And that place was packed due to the weather but really nice still.

Went to Moortgat brewery (known for making things like Duvel, Vedett, Maredsous,..) for the second time in 7 years. The first tour was so much better then this one. Apparently europe forbids them now to let you drink directly from the Brewing kettles (where you will drink the sweetest beer you can imagine) and offering unlimited drinks.

The Brewery was in the town of Breendonk, some WW2 buffs might recognize the name because of a little nazi prison camp. I will probably come back soon to visit the camp as well in the near future. I did it on a school trip once a long time ago.

Bought a plow! Did some test plowing with it, no problems, needed a bit of fine tuning (angle grinder) to make it fit in the tractor, but hey, it works! This summers latest restoration project.
I'd rather play Kimble with my ass!

That feel when your exam begins you're certain that you have 48 hours to do it, then it turns out you have 72 hours.

We have Turkish immigrants, I know how they drive. Those I can handle, trust me Belgian drivers are wack. It's just the good beer, Mattetaarten and friendly people that keeps luring me back.
