Starting new Project.
« on: 02-03-2010, 06:03:54 »
Hey Guys.

I Decided to start a new Project here, map.

I have a couple of Super Alphas (Flag Layouts, Road Layout, etc) on paper.
In my mind, currently, there are a few Maps..

The Scheldt River
Hurtgenwald (Like Aachen but Forest Only)
A Map that brings most of the Normandy Equipment, or, Breaktrough 1944 MkII.
Metz
Husky
Anzio
Malta
A Fictional Seelowe
Only if i could Manage to get the Italians as a Allies Country, i could do  one of these Islands in the Aegean Sea...

What more? Nothing.

Scheldt.

Pretty Possible, not a bad idea, maybe, with my current plan, it could end in a massive Static front.

Hurtgenwald.

Cold, Wet and Foggy, with Custom Bunkers (Hopefully) and the Awesome SS Skins for it.

Breaktrough 1944 MkII.

Maybe not that name but, Generic Normandy Map. Normandy-Like Landscape, but with a Large tank force, Airplanes and most important, Paratroopers. Horsa Glider (Placeholder) and Ju52.

Metz.

Awesome map with excellent fortifications. +1!

Husky.

Beach Landing map featuring Bredas!

Anzio.

Not sure, same as Husky i guess.

Malta.

Big island, small land on It-Ger control. Ju52s, Italian Paratroopers, Secure the Beaches and get Tanks! Push Forward!. Like Crete but with Italians and more tanks.

Seelowe.

Still awesome. Combied Arms map featuring all kind of Early War vehicles!

Vote if you want.. i just wanna kill some time and learn some skills, this time, is for REAL.

Thanks for reading =D.

Thanks for including Malta in the list....I live here.  ;D...If you need any info on the topic just tell me.....This will have to be a What if scenario as the Italians/Germans never managed to capture Malta....Check operation Hercules on wiki.

I'm a paratrooper kinda guy so my vote goes for Breaktrough 1944 MkII.

My vote goes for Malta or Seelowe. There aren't enough Early War what-if maps!

I'd say first try a simple project and then pull it through to the end. Like a fictional map
It won't help when you set the bar too high every time.

Yes, like N24 said.
tore, I know you, and you're a nice guy, but I never saw you finishing a map.
Better try out something small and finish it before you always take it too serious.

Too many good ideas Tore! Your an ambitious person but maybe got a small concentration span  :P

Pick a scenario that fits you and make a SMALL map about it so you can finish it and work on gameplay balance etc. Or you can slowly start on 2 maps at the same time so when your tired of that one you can work on the other one for a while etc.

I vote for Malta, It seems to be (in my experience) the lesser-known of the maps on the list.
