M1919 .30CAL(Infantery based)
« on: 14-04-2009, 16:04:55 »
While it seems that the BAR will be taking the same role as the Bren and MG34 does with support, will we be seeing a pickup kit with the Browning .30CAL??
It was a pretty common weapon amongst infantery, would be a shame if we wont see this weapon infantery based in normandy  >:(

Will it be mounted like the stationary MGs?
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

I love the sound of the M1919 .30 cal. It sounds so.. Good. I just hope it is not the one from the Stuart, it looks very nice but a little greenish.
The M1919A4 will be in 2.2.
What? Your not dreamcrushing? Oh wait I get it, your waiting until someone asks something that the M1919 could do and then you crush that. Your tactics get sneakier..

Wow, we got those precious infos for free! Now imagine what we´d might get if we´d bribe Lightning! :D
Anyway, great to hear it´s in-game. I loved it in BoB and it´s a nice weapon that definately NEEDS to be in a Normandy release ^^

Comparable to the MG42 Lafette? Sure, just like you can compare a lizard to a Utahraptor.

Not comparable to the lafette since it doesn't have a scope. Neither will it have 1200rpm.

Or be taken to bed by a drunk Mudra.  It would be more comparable to the vickers and breda 37.

Will it be spawnable with Airborne Troops? They didn't use the BAR IIRC

Unfortunately the bipod version wasn't used in Normandy. So its not a handheld weapon in 2.2.

Nor does it have the recoil buffers, meaning the tripod shaked and rattled as it fired ;)  The american and brit tripods were just that, 3 legs and a mount.  The germans were the only ones to turn the tripod into a piece of art :P
