Good question, I'll reply after I decide if we are just shadows in the walls of a cave

I want the exaggerated sway from vanilla RO to FH2. Now that would be fun wouldn't it? :D

All the long rifles are the same, imo.  Its a matter of quality of sights, the server, lag, and the user.

isnt there a difference between the italian carcano rifles ?
one is a carbine (much shorter barrel) in FH1 these were  a bit less accurate than their full length brothers.

i m not sure if this is in fh2, anyone knows ?

personally i hadnt any problems with the shorter carcano version

Somebody (a dev) once posted the stats of the No.4 and the K98. From what I remember the K98 was slightly stronger. Maybe to compensate the magazine capacity.

Also the long Carcano should do less damage then the Carbine IMO. Long one uses 6,5mm while the Carbine uses 7,65mm. Quite a difference.

remember the thread about AT guns penetration etc
tiger 88mm gun beeing weaker than the panthers 75mm gun ;)

i think there are some links between those although when shooting "soft" targets penetration, isnt everything ...

as for the k98 no.4  comparison, i remember that too reading at some point but must have been long ago.

I can't hit almost anything with that Carcano carbine but the long one is quite easy to use after practise but its still not as accurate in my hands as the other rifles.

Thats because of the more advanced mechanics in the 75mm of the Panther, it's newer. The carbine is also newer and has the same powder charge so when a 7,65 hits your head you get more gore then a 6,5.

I think the K98 is slighlty stronger as it's 8mm, as opposed to the Enfields 7.7mm.. not that the diffirence matter, if you shoot the target right, he drops :)

I like the SMLE sights the most, especialy for long range shooting.

i dont know, the front sight (korn, i dont know the english word) of the no.1 and no.4 are a bit too small for my taste. i some situation i cant even see it. thats why i like the italian rifles so much, they have a huge front sight, it might be way to big but it works well for me. and yes K98 <3, it might be one of slower(or even slowest) rifles concerning the rate of fire but it is the rifle i can shoot best with.

btw anyone knows it the carcanos fire faster than the k98 ?
in non iron sight mode the no.4 can fire much faster than the k98, just wondering is anyone knows if the carcanos are faster or slower than the k98.

in fh1 is was(from fastest to slowest):
no.4
mosin nagant
arisaka (not sure)
springfield (not sure)
k98
