Keiner warum darum ?

Don't question why ? Is that the correct German. Any German speakers here ? My German is very rusty ... about CSE grade 4 or below somewhere Sad

Reason I ask.

Re: Keiner warum darum ?

That doesn't mean anything... "Don't question why" means "Stell keine Fragen" or "Frag nicht warum."

Re: Keiner warum darum ?

Re: Keiner warum darum ?

"Warum" means "why".
"Darum" actually is "therefore". However it is often used as an answer to the question "Warum? -Darum!". Then, it actually has no real meaning, it is pretending to give an answer to the question "why?" without semantic content, at most somethink like "Just like that", "because I want to". You usually answer that if you don't wish to explain yourself or don't want to talk at all.

Re: Keiner warum darum ?

You could also say "Ohne wenn und aber... don't question why".
This could fit to the statement of the text above it. Cool
But "Frag nicht warum." works as well.

Re: Keiner warum darum ?

The thread name confused me.
'Keiner warum-darum" is what I read so I thought "No warum-darum" indicating it was gone but this forum is hosted on W-D so yes that quite confused me.
But the problem is solved so I'll just move on  Lips sealed

Talking about conspiracy theories:
The whole official 9\11 reports seems a bit fishy and there were without a doubt cover-ups and misinformation involved, but so far I have yet to read a convincing alternative theory. Most of them start promising and in the end they turn out to be just another "oh my is the world complicated, oh I know, a small power elite caused all this, now I understand!"-shit.

Well, but that's how it is. That's why they did it.

Ha ha. <put's on Mulder stance> ... If you wanna look into that stuff then make sure you have your head firmly screwed on. In my experience the "good guys" are just as confused as "the bad guys". Your truth meter may vary.

Re: Keiner warum darum ?

My German is really bad. I can read the simple stuff fine sometimes but when it comes to writing it I'm just horrible. I never really grasped the German grammar structure so I just use the English structure except with German words. Roll Eyes

My der die and das could use a little work too.

It´s not just the rules that are difficult, the many exceptions of these rules are difficult, too ^^

I think thats not correct N24. "ohne wenn und aber" means more without Compromisses.

"Dont question why" is more like better ask not.
