A MP campaign game on Napoleon Total War, my French colleauge, playing as France, and myself, as Piedmont-Sardinia. The battle was fought near Turin,
and the French had an army, not only commanded by Napoleon himself, but also of better quality troops: 2 national guard, 3 revolutionary infantry, 1 fusiliers of line, 1 Grenadiers, 1 Chasseurs, 1 Chasseurs à Cheval, 1 Dragoons, 2 6-pounder teams and Napoleon.
My army consisted mainly of militia, complemented by 2 line infantry, 1 Grenadiers, 1 Dragoons, 2 teams of 12-pounders and a General's staff. But I had the opportunity of setting up defences. He never tried a frontal assault on that part of my lines.
My cannons opened the ball, and my opponent made a flanking move with the national guard and revolutionaries.
Sometime in the middle of the battle, one of my cannon managed to "wound" Napoleon, this caused some panick under my enemy's troops, routing some of them and taking the pressure off my left flank.
My opponent then decided to run away.
Seeing a grand opportunity, I sent my Dragoons in pursuit of an enemy artillery team.
As this was the last of my enemy's units, I ran them down completely.
