Muddy Fox. Looks like chocolate.

I like how the transport box was ripped off.

Where did he get this Africa Corps logo? I can't find it.

This guy was creativ as well.

Welcome to Normandy.

I didn't put these decals into the game: 12th SS Panzer Regiment, 3rd Platoon, 2nd vehicle. 12th SS Panzerdivision 'Hitlerjugend', Normandy, France, 1944.

...but this is my biggest provocation.

After they made national flags premium content. Blended in well, didn't it?

Mission Accomplished.

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

So, after 6 busy months I've finally found some time to get back to STALKER. I decided I might as well enjoy the last week of my last winterbreak trying to crack the tough nut that is the Dead City. It turned out to be much easier than expected (it helps that I had brought a dozen of underbarrell grenades to fight Controlers).

All in all, OGSE's Dead City quest must be the best thing I've played yet in any of the pre-ShoC maps in any mod. Decent writing, interesting and well scripted mechanics, plenty of rewards for exploration... the only problem is the "final boss" you have to fight, I hadn't come across such bullshit an arbitrarily hard mission in a long while.

Some S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Misery mod screenshots I took last autumn. Do note that my laptop is a 2012 HP notebook and thus has an incredibly shitty graphics card so that I can only run it on low to medium graphics:

I played as Loner because it's simply the most natural faction to me. Granted, only playing the Scientist faction is easier than Loners because they have less enemies (I believe they don't get shot at by Military and maybe even Mercs).

Spoiler

Right after spawning I went into the awful, awful swamps and directly ran into a bunch of bandits:

Gotta love the gloomy atmosphere and the music there though:

The two faces of the Garbage area, one night apart:

Snorks should be avoided when you're still running around with low tier crap:

To this day I am fascinated by the lighting in this old engine:

The physics are 10/10 as well:

Escorting a tacticool Scientist who believe it's a great idea to shoot at everything with is Glock so that I can take care of it:

The K98ZF is not that great in this game either but beggars can't be choosers:

Surviving an eruption(emission in the newer titles?) and aftermath:

Assetto Corsa, I love it.

Ferrari 250 GTO vs a Lancia Fulvia and another 250 GTO.

Two Ferrari 250s battling with a Lancia Fulvia.

One of the most brutal cars I've ever driven, Porsche 935/76 Moby Dick.

Nice shots. What do you use as an input device? I am reluctant to buy an xBox controller and the PS ones are supposed to be really iffy with Windows so I'm sticking to a joystick to play Beam.NG - which is really far from optimal so that I won't touch any competitive car games for now.

Leaving the AI to itself (definitely not what makes Beam.NG great):

I bought a Logitech G29 last March, it's a good wheel if you want to get into simracing (Then you have custom and expensive stuff like Fanatec wheels if you're really serious about it). Mine has a problem though, it makes a noise when you turn to the left especially if the game has a "strong" Force Feedback setting.

I used to play rFactor (the first) with a Logitech Dual Shock, it was pretty fun.

Ah nice. Yeah, bit expensive for me right now since I've just built my first PC and need to study more anyway. That Logitech Dual Shock seems like a great temporary solution though; resembles the PS2 controller pretty much. Did you have any compatibility issues using it with anything else? I used to play Worms 4 with my sisters e.g. and when we had a small family reunion not too long ago, I could not help but notice that mouse and keyboard are not terribly great for some of the movement and indirect fire controls so I was looking to buy a controller to replace that as well.

Also tried Anomaly; it's really much more enjoyable to play than the other CoC clones but it has a few lighting and balance issues I would argue:

DX11:

DX10:

It looks a lot worse with DX11 and campfires etc won't even light their surroundings.

It always manages to awe me with it's atmosphere:

It's also cool that the AI does so much stuff and move around. The only annoying thing about it is that anomaly fields are often already farmed when I arrive. The artifacts I find also seem to be the newly added ones 95% of the time and Sakharov does not give a damn about those. Quests grant you a nice cash bonus but suits, especially scientific ones, get damaged so incredibly quick, especially in burner anomaly fields, even if you are not even triggering them. I always carry heavy sewing kits with me because of that.

The dual shock never gave me problems of any kind, I've had it for years now.. maybe a full decade. It works on every single game I tried controllers on. From PES to Dark Souls.
