Singleplayer for CMP maps?
« on: 09-03-2017, 18:03:49 »
The CMP maps are really good, would really be great to have singleplayer on them! Of course, if its not possible, then that's cool.

I doubt we'll get singleplayer for the CMP maps. The guys working on it are a relatively small team and I don't think any of them know how to nav mesh (I could be wrong).

Which maps do you want?
We can at least think about it.
I plan to do Raid at Cabanatuan eventually since it is small.

I am interested in CMP maps which attracts me. And I want to make AI in these map but met some problems from bfeditor to navmesh. :D
I also want to make some new maps for FH2. Now I have created the terrain of Saipan. However I haven't done colourmap. :(

I found a map called Peleliu which was remaked well by Watchtower. I want to get some
tutorials or recipes from these mapper. Or even join development groups. :)

My friends really want to play singlepleyer in the Pacific maps. 8)

Hey, it's always nice to see a new face excited to do modding! :)

If you haven't done already, here are some excellent tutorials on getting started:

More specifically of what you want (texturing):

It would be awesome to play CMP Pacific in singleplayer! Probably won't happen though.

You could always put in a request somewhere on the Battlefieldsingleplayer forums as there's a few navmesh savvy folks there  :)

If anyone is interested I put in a request for bot support on a few of the CMP maps, mainly Pacific one's.

Dnamro has a new navmeshing script and its possible to use Blender now to edit the navmesh which certainly makes things a lot easier.

I've heard it said that these Pacific maps are very difficult to add bot support to for some reason. Although it may be more difficult I don't see why it should be impossible. Some of the BF2 and PR maps that have large sea areas and aircraft carriers come to mind. Although I think a lot of the CMP vhicles need AI templates. The bots might sail the large ships badly but it was like that in FH1 Pacific maps as well and they were fun enough :).
