KV-1
« on: 15-01-2017, 11:01:55 »
We already have the KV-1s, the lighter version of the KV-1, but can we have the heavy versions of the KV-1, mod 1942, 1941 and 1940. The FH-1 models look fine, you probably need to retexture them. If I could help I would, but I am useless at texturing. Also FHSW has good models, maybe they will be willing to donate.

Yep, the KV-1 in FH 0.7 on early maps stalls the German team!!  ;D ;D

Load FH 0.7, then load Kharkov winter as the Russians, and take the KV-1 on a rampage against the German panzers. Then you will see its true power.  ;)

FHMax3, read what jan wrote... you used low res thumbnails instead of proper pictures. Seriously, do you not understand sarcasm? Is that why you keep spamming even though people keep telling you to shut the fuck up?

More KV-1 variants would be nice. But I don't think there's a huge need for them right now. (not a ton of maps to put them on)

Also, the devs wouldn't port the FHSW stuff when Toddel made an amazing-looking KV-1 chassis for FH2 8) you'd need high quality turrets to match imo.

Even if the FHSW models were quality enough to port over, they'd still need to be textured and exported (which is a huge undertaking in and of itself) Hope that makes sense

Well, at first look, could be a good idea, but I agree with Matthew about the lack of maps to put them on.

By now, the Eastern Front maps are all about laaaate war, so the KV-1s does the job. Even the new maps coming with 2.52, the earliest map is probably in 1943, when those beasts were dwindling in numbers.

About the KV-2, the scenario is even worse, cause it was used only in 1941, and mainly on the Baltic States and Leningrad, which will not be depicted, at least in the near future.

So, IMHO, right now, it would be a waste of efforts. If we need some new types, you could think about 3 big players in the late Eastern Front: SU-85, ISU-122 and ISU-152.

Best regards.
