Airborne idea

Hello everyone,

I've been playing this game for years now and I've always wanted to see that one map in the game.
I would really love to play a map where the 101st Airborne drops over Normandy.


I have a few ideas:
- Automatic moving planes in the air with spawnpoints in them (or steady spawnpoints in the air without planes)
- 101st Airborne Easy Company model textures
- The 101st being equipped with light weapons
- The 101st not being able to spawn on flags, only spawn in the air (this gives a realistic feel of the battle because the Allies will be surrounded all the time, which Paratroopers supposed to be)
- Nighttime fighting
- NOT fighting at the beaches
- A few anti aircraft guns and MG42's would be nice
- One of the most important things of all: Non-mobilized Allied force (that finishes the realism)

It would be very awesome if this would work out. I think people will like it and I am sure it gives a whole new experience in the game!

not sure about 101st Airborne.
But check out "St. Mere Eglise" map in CMP

We have 101st Airborne models and textures on several maps, Like Purple Heart Lane and Bastogne.

Was just playing that ! Size 16, Night. Was wondering if that is the only map where soldiers parachute in ? It would seem to be a game style worth pursuing  .
