Mutiplayer isn't working for me.

Everytime I try to join a server my screen goes black and I end up at the desktop screen. Also closes by it's self. I don't understand what's run because Single player runs great.

You have Windowed mode in options in Launcher. Try it and see if there is some mesagge.

OK, more info needed, so here are some questions:

1) Do you have an account, or did you put <none>?
2) If you have an account, did you create it recently, or is it an old account from years back?
3) Did you ever join a server of FH2 successfully?
4) Do you have a firewall blocking FH2 maybe? Try to add exceptions in the firewall for FH2 if you haven't done that yet.
5) When did you last install FH2?
6) How did you install it? Which patches of BF2, etc.

6) BF2 is the most up to date version

Ok i've managed to get it to say something. It says runtime error... it also says this application has requested runtime to terminate it in an unusual way please contact the application support team for more information. Also SP works fine... if you guys could give me a TS3 server to go to i'd like that more then talking on the forums thanks.

So when I try to play Mutiplayer it crashes to desktop. But sometimes it's still on the toolbar at the bottom and when I click on it nothing happens. But when I hovered over it, it said the error thingy on a black screen so i can't really take a screenshot of it or i'd need to move my mouse plus it doesn't always show me the error. I've been playing SP for about like an hour now and it works fine thought and nothing like this happens to me on PR

Could be some compatibility issue what windows do you use ? Is it windows 10 perhaps ?

I have no clue about windows 10 but I don't think it cause the problem here. IIRC Slayer is actually the one who's using win 10 and can run FH2 without any problems, am I right?

No, I still run 8.1.

@Redtail: you might try to run as admin and in compatibility mode like Hauggy suggests. And please check your firewall settings, and your antivirus settings. Both need an xception for FH2.

Yup and if it still doesn't work try updating all the necessary stuff required to play games.
If you have use steam and have windows update is activated it should be up to date.
I'm talking about Directx and Microsoft Visual C++ mostly, the graphic card driver shouldn't change anything but have it updated it can't hurt.
Hopefully starting as admin and in compatibility mode with a former version of windows should do the trick.
Also if it keeps crashing you could write the error code down or check windows crash report and google the number related to the crash to hopefully find an answer.

Welp nothing is working. I'm just going to give up and return to this game if it become standalone. If that ever happens.

Last resort is a complete reinstall, did you try that yet? Please remember to do it like this:

1. Install BF2
2. Install 1.41 patch
3. Install 1.50 patch
4. Install FH2
5. Update FH2
