Bot ratio problem
« on: 20-09-2014, 10:09:30 »
I have a strange issue with a bot ration. When i'm trying to change it in game nothing happens, for example. There 63 bots in game, but it always 48 of them play as Allies and only 16 as Axies, i was increasing the ammount of bots to 80, but again there are 64 bots played as Allies and only 16 as Axies. What should I do? Help me, please.

I experienced this recently.

Delete your FH settings folder from My Documents.
Then, set bot count in the FH2 Loader to 63 (or make sure it is)

then when you load the game, set the ratio to 64 to have 50:50

It is likely that you dumped an old FH2 folder back in place and the link between ratio and bot count is broken.

First step is deleting that my Documents folder to reset the ratio.

best of luck.

I believe, the solution suggested by Djinn is somewhat similar to a suggestion to buy a new PC if the current one shows the wrong time :)

ShadowFox, have you tried this:
1. Set in the launcher the total number of bots you want, for example, 63 (+1 human player):

2. In the game, set how many bots of those 63 you want to be in the team 1 (Axis), for example, 30:

Note the "BOT RATIO" set to 100

3. The result:

And the last question, how can I increase the number of Axis bots beyound 32, for example, if i want to play with 20 Allies vs 44 Axis, my bot's scale in restricted to number 32 and i can't increase the number of bots for Axis team, only the 32 vs 32, as a result.

I think you have to play with the Bot Ratio setting to do so, but I'm not sure and I'm also not sure how.

Like ShadowFox said, try adjusting the bot ratio. For example ratio: 69, number of bots: 48 = ~ 34 bots on the German side, 17 on the Allied.

Yeah, I totally jumped to conclusions with my response.

The simple fact is that Battlefield 2 is locked to 5:50 being for 48 bots.
So once the FH2 devs increased the count to 64, the ratio will dump the rest on the allied side.

To restore 50:50 ratio for any count of bots up to about 100,
move the ratio to the same number as the number of bots.

you need a bit of guestimation however to deliberately imbalance one side.

That said, tipping ratios in favor of the Axis is to the right, and to the allies is to the left.
