Since 2.47 unable to start FH2

Hello!

Long time since I made a post here!

Used the launcher to update to 2.47 (2.8.603) today and since then I havn't been able to start the game without immediately CTD before I even see the FH2 intro part.

I tried ordinary BF2.exe with no problems at all.

Windows 7. Run the launcer on Windows XP SP 3.

Help me!

When you start the launcher. In the 'gameplay' section of it, if you have 'show intro movie' deselected, please try to select it and start. If you have it selected, please try to deselect it.

EDIT: I did a reinstall back to 2.46 and no problems starting that one. Patching to 2.47 again and we will see.

EDIT2: Still the same problem with CTD directly after I install 2.47 via the launcher.

The message on the screenshot means that the game failed to login with the default player account you had chosen in the launcher.

Set the default player account to "<None>" in the launcher (Options -> Gameplay -> "Login as") and then press the Play button. Perhaps, the game will provide a more meaningful message if you try to login in the old way.

That did the trick! No problems starting the game now, even in normal mode (not windowed). But I can't login using my regular account and can't switch back from <none> in the launcher. It says wrong password on both (I've been having the same password all the time).

Should I just delete my account and make a new with the same name?

There's a server-side bug with passwords. While we're working on it, you can try to register a new account with a different password.

Nothing new? Still can't start FH2, because of the "MusicPlayer.cpp" Bug.
My workaround is:

I start Bf2 were i can login with the same account which I use to try login via FH2. Then I switch ingame to FH2. Next problem is, that there is only 1 server. It's a test server. But i can connect via the IP to the game servers.

I had the same problem once. In my case using the repair function fixed it for some reason.

Repair fixes bug on "master server"? I don't think so and it didnt help.
