Changing kits and/or adding pickup kits

I used Alam Halfa 16 player Coop to help my rifle skills. I want to change the kits to US or at least set some US pickup kits. I tried changing the level settings by replacing it from that of Purple Heart Lane. There was no change in the kits. I'd like to change the British to US or place some American pick up kits at least. How?

Are you changing it in the init.con? Remember that you have pack the map again using python.

I was changing it in there. So once I make the change, I repack using Python and it should be good?

I don't know Python and the guides don't seem to talk about it specifically. I see there is an entire website for Python for learning it. Is there a simple guide or way you can tell me how to repack a map?

At the top of this post

Install python 2.7, place the script to the root of FH2, unpack the map zips to it's folder and also create folder called editor, then copypaste all files from the root map folder there also. Then doubleclick the pack-map file in root fh2 and type in the map name and you should be good to go.
