Question: Can in be fired while standing up (Bren, BAR etc.) or not? (I'm guessing it's not)
If yes: AWESOOOME!!
If no: Great, but not awesome.
Thats gameplay wise, the model itself is epic, great work!
WARNING!
Assholes are closer than they appear!

Well, ranta means shore. I don't think salo translates into sylva though.

sylvan
 Pronunciation:  /ˈsɪlv(ə)n/

 (also silvan)
Definition of sylvan
adjective
 chiefly  literary
consisting of or associated with woods; wooded:
a sylvan glade

http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/sylvan

Quote
salo
suuri (asumaton) metsäalue, erämaa, sydänmaa, korpi. esim. Salon sydämessä. Suurilla saloilla asusti karhuja.

vanh. iso metsäinen saari.

http://suomisanakirja.fi/salo

Basically 'Sylvan Shore' can be translated to 'Saloranta' which is the name of one of the designers of the weapon.

Edit: Sylvan/silvan is translated to 'salo' also in fantasy setting at least since Kersti Juva's LoTR translation.

...so, will the gun ingame be perfectly oiled by a would-be gunsmith, or "handled as usually" by a most diligent conscript person? (Darn, "noheva varushenkilö" is such a bother to translate.)

If the latter, you could make it overheat if the user fires a burst longer than 5 rounds... :P

Why do the bullets in the render look...weird.. They look way to long for a 7.62x54mm R.

No idea, scaled them to the Size of the Mag so they fit in.

It was also very heavy and had a very strong recoil, and the 20 round magazines were too small.

Says it right there. :)

Will it be even worse than the BAR in terms accuracy when standing?
I've seen videos from the new FH2 version with MG34 fired from the hip. Why should this one not be able to do it?

Anyway, really good looking models as always :)

I think it's about a gun whose wood is beech wood. Or partially made out of beech wood. I'm probably totally wrong though.

It's the small tubular shaped thing behind the rear sight.
I'd rather play Kimble with my ass!
