Forgotten Hope 2 + FXAA Injector: It's Beautiful!

Hello folks.
I got some eye candy for you. FH2 already looks astonishing as it is by now but this "mod" could improve the overall quality even more.

Basically what is does is to add FXAA to the game (Yes, this shitty post-AA). But the important thing is, that it also allows you to do some colour-correction and adding minor Bloom/HDR effects. But check out for yourself:












In my opinion this improves the graphics at least a bit. Feel free to try my configuration:

(Extract into game directory. The break key disables/enables the injector while being ingame))

The FXAA_Tool.exe also allows you to easily edit the configuration



As far as i know this shouldn't affect Punkbuster in any way. (At least it doesn't in BF3)

OMFG kill this thing with fire... It DOES NOT IMPROVE QUALITY WHATSOEVER... the colors look bland and unrealistic. FH 2 already has built-in colour correction, no need for third party tools... The only thing this does is kill all the hard work the devs put in trying to make coulours historically accurate.

I get your point and it is really not my goal to erode the hard work all the developers put into this Mod.

But still: It adds a new perspective to FH2. Depends on your personal taste if you're going to like it or not.

I have always thinked that BF2 looks too colorfull, even a bit cartoonish like. In my opinion it looks better after this. Just look at the grass

Personally, I don't like those blend colors (seriously WTF is going on with all games graying evrything out?)
Its a bit too dark. BUT if someone likes it, sure, nice job.

It sounds great, I'll give it a try. I don't exactly have the best GPU so if this helps take some of the load off, that'd be awesome.

You sir obviously need to get your eyesight checked and/or go outside more... It looks pretty realistic to me. Sure some colours look a bit ridiculous in the shades and some maps like Cobra are off, but others are quite fine.

I like it, effect is a little bit exaggerated but it is a matter of taste. Still I don't see a reason to be rude in this thread. No one force you to use it.

Alright maybe I went a bit overboard and I apologize for it. But I don't understand the obsession of all the modern games trying to look like some pseudo-film noir.

Edit: Unfortunately it doesn't work for me, I unpacked to the game folder and the game didn't want to start...

Ok I went ahead and tried it... In my opinion it's fine if used in minimum amounts, and with some things turned off (like that Sepia option, seriously wtf?). Still I need a lot of brightness applied on my monitor otherwise most maps look like Stalker with the ever-lasting dark atmosphere. Also looking at the sky can be painful, and bandages shine like Christmas lights.

Still I wouldn't recommend it as it says in the readme it might interfere with PB and I also noticed it reduces the bleeding effect a little (at least for me) thus providing you with a bit of unfair advantage).

Maybe I'll test it a bit more and then decide if I will stick with it on singleplayer.

It does interfere with PB... so I disable it with a little something I made some 8 years ago for a completely different game. Works so far, even though its breaking alot of rules.

Its great, might even spend time to make some great black and white photos later.

Personally it's my taste, not that amount, but a piece of it.
With deactivated bloom it works wonders.
For SP/Offline a real good thing.

Surely an interesting tool, can at least change the atmosphere drastically. And nifty to use when filming in FH2, saves some time adding filters later.
