16 on at one time. I only managed to see the begining and the end but it was great, we had the same numbers last week I believe.

Played Brest for more then 10 minutes... its been two months since I've done that on WaW.

Bleed bug is still there but I started doing something different last night. It seems to mainly be smaller maps that have the bleed bug(At least I believe this is the case as I don't hear about it much on Euro servers and they mainly only play the 64 maps. So unless this is a "WaW server only thing" it seems to mostly be some of the small maps that are affected.). So when we had about 15 people last night I just started running 64's. A push 64 like Ramelle Neuville played pretty good even with only 15 people since only a couple of the flags at a time could be capped. We had to have a "gentlemen's agreement" of sorts NOT to use the tanks as 7 guys on the American team would not have been enough to stop the tigers.

While such low numbers on 64 maps are far from ideal I expect those numbers to go up as we continue this strategy of just switching to bigger maps earlier on with a smaller number of players. A lot of people just don't like the smaller maps so getting the bigger maps going earlier should help get more people on. I know I'm SICK of many of the 16's lately. Especially with the bleed bug knocking out the 16's of Bastogne/Brest/Goodwood and a couple others, we now have a much smaller choice of 16's that work and that we can actually play. 16's of Lebisey/Vossenack/Falaise/Luttich/Gazala/Eppeldorf/PHL OVER AND OVER AGAIN EVERY F'ing THURSDAY is getting OLD, FAST. So yeah...if I'm running maps, I'm gonna switch us over to 32's/64's sooner than we have in the past to hopefully get more people on to then make playing those 64's more fun.

Just one note to those who come on the server fairly early when there's only a few people on...PLEASE STAY ON THE F'ing SERVER!!! I've noticed that if everyone who joined the server and dropped out throughout the night simply STAYED....by 9pm or so we would have 40+ players EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT!?!

Thats right, you tell em professor. Ungrateful bratty kids. Next week i'll join only after enough people have joined, so as to not demoralize the hell out of the few starters. 50 proof timemachine is to strong, maybe 10 proof would be tolerated better. Lonely at the top.. :'(

It's one of the many irritating qualities of the average FH2 player. If you look at only players who join after 8pm one night, and forced every single one to stay until 11pm three hours later, we would have more than enough to run any 32 and some of the 64s. Instead, players leave. That's if they even join the first place. A lot of the trends seem to suggest there's a sizeable chunk of players that check the FH2 server browser every night, see "WaW FH2.45 #1" in the server browser, look at "5/64" online and don't bother joining up.

The only way we can get a good game going is if YOU join! You don't have to play with 3 vs. 3 if you don't want to, just join and alt-tab, go watch porn or download a CD or something, so that the next guy that looks at the server list sees 6/64, then 7/64, and so on.

None of this is even mentioning the fact that only a fool considers a less than full server to be incapable of a good time. This is the same bullshit that makes choosing maps for 762 #4 so ridiculous, since so many tools refuse to play with 50 people and the server goes from 110 to 30 in 2 maps because everyone thinks everyone else is leaving. Knife fights, tank drag races, dogfights only, jeep races, there is a ton of genuinely enjoyable things to do on sparsely-populated servers even before just playing normally and having a fun time chatting with people. How many times do you see newbs moaning about how often they die in-game? Guess when you don't die every five seconds? When there's 4 people on each team. Guess how I got good at pistol shooting? Using 6 vs. 6 rounds that didn't matter to test out weapons. To explore maps. Half the pick-up kits I run to every time I play FH2 I only discovered through adventuring when only a few people were online. Pretty generally, you can get players to agree to whatever you want - knives only, bayonettes only, planes only, anything - if you just join up and ask. Since the chat doesn't disappear in less than half a second, most players actually read it.

I'm going to give it one more week to see if the bleed bug can be fixed before I make a thread on here about it and bump it every hour until a solution is found. It's absolute horse shit that in a market of 500 million people we can't even get 10 dudes to play FH2 on Thursday and Friday nights dedicated to that exact same mod. The bleed bug has been reported on here several times already, and there is a thread about it in the help section. It is completely raping every attempt to get a decent night going for American/Canadian/Mexican etc. players, and it doesn't matter how awesome Sidi Bou Zid is when every time a new American player joins the only server with anyone on it at 9pm his time, all it is is 5 people saying "Fucking bleed bug again, hopefully the next map is good".

Poor planning and a ridiculous aligning of the stars has led to me only being able to play at this very second, currently sky high on a DXM trip. It took me four minutes to write that sentence, and even then I've only just noticed it's said "aligning of the stairs" until the final edit.

The kids can find their own way home from daycare. Get your ass on the WaW public server!
