Help needed!

Hi!

I have the infamous black spot error too, where black dots randomly appear on the ground.
As far as i know, Cheeriokilla modified the terrainshader_Hi.fx shader file, to get lost of this problem in this thread: http://fhpubforum.warumdarum.de/index.php?topic=1903.0

Unfortunately the rapidshare link isnt valid anymore, but since the file is incorporated in this mod, i would ask someone to upload it and post a link here.

You can find this terrainshader_Hi.fx it in the shaders_client.zip file!

Initially i was going to download the mod, but when i noticed that its around 4-5 gb, i gave up with my 2 megabit connection. I'll get it somehow though.

If you are using an ATI graphics card you should do this

You need to go to this site http://www.oldapps.com/ati.php and download ATI Catalyst 9.9 drivers.

well i know old drivers fix this issue, its just that i cant really play newer games with old drivers (for instance skyrim and BF3 have many optimizations in the newer drivers, not to mention gaming profiles)

So still i would ask for that terrainshader_hi.fx from the shader_client.zip file of the mod.

I almost never update my drivers. When I buy a new videocard, I download the latest drivers available at that time, most likely being optimized for my videocard which usually has been released shortly before. Then I keep it. I'm currently using Catalyst 9.8 from 2009. Never change a running system.
