just to make things sure: will you be able to fire it like a bren/bar/zb 26 or like a mg34/42/.30cal? - with this i mean firing while standing.

well the thing has a lot more rounds in its drum. if its usable like the bren/bar it will already have the advantage of a bigger magazine.

I'd imagine it's like the breda, can't fire whilst standing.  It honestly was not designed to be fired whilst standing at all.

Yay for DP-28! And yes, it was designed keeping Lewis in mind, since it was quite popular during the civil war. It was often fired while standing, way more often than MG, for example. There are numerous pictures for soldiers advancing and shooting. However I have little idea how effective it was for hip-shooting in realitly, given that many of the pics I have seen were not taken in the heat of battle. But then again, would you call Bar effective as it is now? :)

Just make sure you don't load all 49 bullets into it! (well, same goes for PPSH, -2)

The same with all magazines I guess... They last longer and are more reliable if you don't load them 100% all the time.
