Problem with this map: no surprise effect.

The success at Brecourt was based on surprise, and since this is a videogame (OMG, WTF I thought this was IRL) that edge is lost. So basically, this will be combined PdH and Op Hyacinth in a smaller scale.
I'd rather play Kimble with my ass!

yes, big progress
I decided to finish this map..finally. So here you could see some new WIP screens..
The map will contains 6  German capable flags:
Le Grand Chemin; Gun Battery; Brecourt Manor; Hameau Germain; Radar Bunker and Franqueville.

Brecourt Manor


Hameau Germain(avoid unplaced statics)

Glad to hear that you have a fun with Operation Solstice. I added some stuff to the map according to the feedback, so it's better now, only Russian stuff needed.

Regarding Brecourt minimap... should be patient, it's not ready atm. But will post it when it looks good :)

People seem to like your maps and at a glance they look very well thought out and designed. 8) You also mapped for BGF. Ever thought about joining the dev team and making some official maps?

Question:
if I add an objective mode to the map(only for gun battery flag):
destroy or defend 4 guns and 4 mg42

Will be able to play with the guns and the mg42 or they will be static?

I'm sure it is possible to make working objectives as I saw them on some maps but I don't know the technical details though so I won't help here.

 These are the only objective maps in FH2 that i can think of and none of them have working objectives.

 Its a great idea. Perhaps just using the Gun Batteries themselves as the objectives would be perfect.

 Also, another unique aspect you could add that would be awesome is having the 101st fly in on C-47s & para-dropping.

yes, on those maps the objectives are static... I am not sure only for the objective in the church(Anctoville).
I usually play as a German, but never defend the church objective...perhaps it's the machine gun in the tower??

I was thinking about para dropping but not sure if it will work. Is not c47 only bot plane which circling around the map?

I'm not talking about official released maps. It is possible to create working objectives like usable cannons and even moving vehicles.

You aslo can make americans spawn in flyby C47 to create paradrop but it won't be really good for such map to be honest because IRL they landed few hours before the battle.
