Arbedeen, feels arcade, works with only a 3rd of its actual size and has no special vehicle or unique aspects.
Cobra, I hate this map because it feels arcade with its steep areas, lack of concealement for tanks and lacking bocage area. It has so many vehicles found no where else and yet it doesnt represent a real battle. The farm should feel like an isolated battle after slogging through bocage country towards the american side, and it doesnt do justice to the quad-50, US tank destroyer and airplanes. I actually wish there'd be another Cobra map with more specific focus.
Operation Supercharge, almost wont miss this map. The only map besides Tunis with dust clouds, it has it at an almost unstrategic location, as with the 88s.
The prize, the town is nothing more than 2 roads, but the dunes do make for fun and unique play.
Bardia is very arcade-looking, but its fun, beautiful and well-designed so I would miss this, but its almost on my list.
for El Alamein, I have some gripes, but it works. I would miss this also, but its also almost on my list of maps that need to go... but we need an El Alamein. After all, we dont have an Omaha.
Here's a tip, focus on battles not operations, unless you have the balancing skill to pull off a Totalize, and lets not take in fanmaps unless they are as good and unique as any official map.
Like, why isnt a map like bloody gulch in, while cobra gets air time?
