..., but they still seem like one rule for you and a rule for me depending on the day, depending on the mood.

Do you even know what you are suggesting? Nothing of the sort has happened. Sure we could talk about a 'slow chat' thread and we will most likely get one sooner or later, but the mods only wanted to slow down the randomness of topics and I mean people bulge in here thinking they are the kings, well no, if it is a new place you slow down and get accustomed to it.

Was just a bad move to dis a mod on your first post stylie. Take it easy and all will be fine, I took you to be quite a reasonable chap, so don't let me down.

Do you even know what you are suggesting?

Yes... a feeling I have.

Nothing of the sort has happened.

Ok, as I mentioned perhaps I am paranoid, but I started posting on FF forums having lurked for years, only to find my stuff was locked out, yet threads like "put the nose cam back in" were left alive.  It's perosnal experience I suppose.  You may have had no malice in your voice when you wrote your reply, but me sat here, after the day I have had can only read it in an angry tone.

but the mods only wanted to slow down the randomness of topics and I mean people bulge in here thinking they are the kings, well no, if it is a new place you slow down and get accustomed to it.

Fair point.  I did not bulge in here personally, nor did I ever assume myself to be a king, but I understand where you are coming from and will watch my actions from now on.

You started you first post about how it must suck for donutz to loose all his posts. And that sounded a bit like dissing to me, but what do I know I love my weed.  8)

I think it's time for a grouphug.

*Hugs all*

IMO, once again I'd suggest to let things settle out and let the forum establish. And to be honest I rather be a bit too strict right (and downgrade to see what level seems the best balance for both devs and old OT regulars) now and ease a bit down the road then the other way around (and get a stormflood of complaints because of a sudden raise in stricness). This place is meant to be fun, educational and enjoyable for all and we will try to achief this. But no, we can't satisfy all people I guess.

Oh and if anybody thinks that I or an other staffer made an ill judgement feel free to bring it up. We make mistakes too, but at the very least we can explain to you why we took a certain action.

Well, I would say good to have known you, Stylie. Have fun I would say!
Though I hope to see you again one day.

i think thats why we could need a simple spam forum.
note off topic != spam

I am with Die Happy here, a simple spam forum would do. No postcount.

EDIT: By the way, how works this IRC? Everytime I follow the link I get an page error.

Partakes in the Grouphug.  :)

Fair point.  I did not bulge in here personally, nor did I ever assume myself to be a king, but I understand where you are coming from and will watch my actions from now on.

Sorry small, I was just a bit worried with all the talk about paranoia and people being singled out and such, just wanted to rationalize it for me. Had a bad day here too... I shouldn't post serious things in this condition...

Anyways let's open up a 'slowchat' thread for now Donutz. That way people have one place to vent and it will be confined to there without random threads popping up and anarchy following suit. I think of it as an offline IRC. :)

A forum would work better since a thread would 1) still have postcount. 2) COuld confuse people why this "rule violating thread was allowed. 3) Be much more likely tp have spamaniaritus spread and infect the rest of the forum.

However, for such a sub forum you'de need to ask the admins. That and see if there would be a majority support along those who have the power too decide on it (the last answer was "nay"). I myself do favour such a forum as I believe spamaniaritus could be contained to just that forum and anyt violators shot onsigned ans shipped of to the gulags. But it's not my call.

Hmm ok I am with you on that one Donutz, just checked all the new threads in the OT that popped up since this morning and on most you can't differ from spam.
Take the guess the film thread. That is spam in my eyes.
Review your last movie on the other hand isn't.
But anyone here will see that the difference is quite subtle.

Edit: sorry small, but that what's under my censored is waaaay above X-Rated and can only be expressed in the german words "Fuzzi Porno"  ;D But I guess it will be sooner or later till you have reached the status of a FH2 Fuzzi. ^^

Yes, I found that page after posting. It works now with mIRC! Though it was suspiciously quiet there.
Thanks anyways  ;D

I might have to take Stylie's position here,

It seems like if there is going to be too much of a heavy hand that there is little chance of regaining the "Joie de vie" that was present in the Filefront incarnation of Forgotten Hope.

Off Topic was where I got a chance to learn about a ton of different things, and to every once in a while, wade into some esoteric political argument.

now, it seems like this place is to be Fh only, and honestly if that is the case, what is the point of any of us staying on here?

Am I to start a million threads about "when is there a full server?" or "when will FH2 stop crashing my pc?"

While I am not expecting a clone of FileFront, I was hoping to be lead to a forum where we could re-establish the online relationships that we once shared.

I will check in periodically but IMO if the forums get neutered, the development of this game will soon reflect that. Part of our participation in this mod comes through the forums and that has to be recognized.

Stylie... why are you still posting?!?

Good question. I plan on watching this thread for a little and answering any PM's, but I just wanted to add something...

Take a look at the thread/post counts in each forum. OT is the clear winner so far.
