ABC Line camping is tricky; some maps have good ABC lines, others don't. The new ABC line rule on 762 isn't as good as the old one imo.

I hate it when people do it to me tho, so I typically fall back to a particular flag outside the view distance from the ABC and defend a different route. This is a game after all, and just because you're beating the crap out of the other team, doesn't mean it's fun to just keep beating the crap of them. I like to give them a fighting chance sometimes.

I did give the poor hanomag a chance to steer away, but he just kept charging at me even after the line

I see no wrong in using the forest to cover the capture of that last flag, that'd be the only way you can take out a panther or king tiger rolling to take the flag. Eppeldorf is an example of a well placed ABC line, it would completely protect the base even without any rules.

Some people seem to turn off their brain until they reach the first flag, the ABC line should be a heads up to the one leaving it as well.

Personally, I hate ABC lines.  They just tell campers precisely where to camp.  Meuse is the worst.  If there was just the invisible OOB, people would probably stay away from there.  Eppeldorf doesn't need it.  You can just move the OOB forward of both bases a bit and then let people fight there way out of the base area with Arty and coordinating tanks.  Bad teams deserve to lose.

Yes. ABC lines are there to prevent people from entering, not shooting into. Otherwise they would prevent that.
