Meh, doesn't look too bad

It really isn't.  If you can walk on it and not be a pussy about it, then road rash isn't bad at all.  I'd take it over a broken bone any day.

Damage report on my bike:

2 shattered/fractured pedals- $8

One completely destroyed seat- $30

Damaged Psyche: Nonexistent. I'm out for blood.

If anything else is damaged that I can't see: deformed rims ($40) or flat inner tubes ($10), then I may be looking at a  heck of an overhaul

The worst kind I experienced while going to school though weren't young drivers but mothers and fathers who had to drive their brats to school every morning (because you can't just walk one or two km per day, big f*cking deal ::) )

Use the sidewalk next time.

Hard to use something that does not exist at any of the school entrances.

Another botched hit. Our Assassins are getting sloppy.
Well due to the budget cuts we have to hire cheaper ones..

So this is a case where the driver isn't using his side mirrors to look before driving away.
Not to defend him/her/shemale, it could be your were in a blind area for the driver and there was loud music in the car so hearing you fall was difficult.

I have a license for over 10 years and since driving a car I am much more careful nowadays when driving a bike.
And this in Holland where we have separate bicycle lanes.

I've had instances where local 'rednecks' switch on the blinkers to turn in one direction then without notice decide to turn the other way...Slam on the brakes and hold on for dear life!!  ::)

Where I live, it is the bikes that hit the cars.

They way I read Village idiot's post was that he was just behind the car when it pulled away.
Otherwise he would been smashed in the side if he was alongside the car.

But yes kids always look over your shoulder.

No. We were facing each other, head-on.  I was turning left.  They showed no sign of turning, no signal, nor were they slowing down.  As I went into the turn, I noticed a huge white shape behind me.  I looked and saw that they had pulled in behind me.  I had to turn even harder that I already was, which caused me to wipe out.  I was next to them as I fell.

I hate bikers and yes, I drive car. Bikers never stay where they should be and ride like madmans and then I'm the one to be blamed if I hit someone. I wish I could see one day when all bikers follow rules.

Not saying warrior didn't follow rules, but that's just my feelings about relations between bike riders and car drivers.
