Shut up Ted, I think we all can agree the finest country in the world is Micronesia.

All I can say is...

It's half naked people on boats. That's all.
Here in Finland we call that "summer".

Lol. I don't see how they can make these list without living in each of these countries for at least 5 years which is virtually impossible. Plus it's also a matter of opinion. Most top ten list are all lies... propaganda I tell you! The United States shouldn't be 11, it should be like 102, we gave all our benefits away to other coumtries and are in a complete crapper at the moment...Finland #1, why the heck would I want to live there? There is nothing there. Canada is too similar to the United States to be so far apart... this list is rubbish. As far as the rest of the countries, it don't matter I don't have time to explain the insignificance of each and every country. Your best bet is to by a small deserted Island in the Atlantic and live there.  ::)

hehe Oddball.

Actually this list has some quite down to earth criteria and is a good measure for the overall state of a country. :)

Canada is above the US cause they have a pupblicly funded healthcare system. Think about that one. ;)
Finland has it quite easy. Low population count (5.3m) , high number of natural resources and a good GDP topped off with a parliamentary republic and using the nordic model for their economy and finally one of the most advanced welfare systems in the world. Go Finland! ^^

I'd move there if it weren't for the cold weather and that awfully hard language. ^^

The list is crap..

It should be called Best Countries in the World - calculated from these few specifications we have chosen.

The US being 11. is laughable.. im guessing murder rates, corruption, pollution etc.. wasent taken into consideration.

Actually, murder rate is one of the criteria ;) USA has 6.0 per 100 000 compared to 1.2 in England and 0.6 in Germany. Some of the single criteria are quite interesting but overall the whole thing is very suspect.

Ah yes your right. Which makes it even more weird that the US would get around the same score as Germany and Denmark in quality of life.

I am not expecting my country to be up with the best - far from it! But come on I'm sure we're better than Ethiopia!!! [with respect to anyone from there] We even have one of the most modern hospitals in Europe.
