Good evening everyone!

I'm making a topic about 762 servers here because I have trouble registering on their website.

There are some things that really bother me playing on 762 server, mainly due to their rules...


This is making a non-sense! Why the mapping guy would have crossed this flag in this situation if there are people actually wasting their time Killing people there and not in the cappable flags???

Some said to me "yeah but you know, back in the day, several men were trapped behind enemy lines and tried to slow the advance of the enemy..." Make sense, but explain to me where driving a kubel or a jeep, or even drop itself from a plane to be in a crossed flag to be able to "pre-cap" it is being TRAPPEd behind enemy lines...????? This is just ********* commando style action! Germen paratrooper weren't use that many times in WW2 and compared to the Allies, they were not good, the operation did cost them many men...

I'm really tired of thiss rule, I ragequit so many times, I play ne round and that's it, i'm sick of it. Just a few minutes ago, I was operating a 2pdr in the second defensive line of the siege of tobruk which was red crossed. Tank killed me with HE shells from the first line while moving towards cappable flag on the first ine of defense, that's OK. But after that, he drove right in front of me to kill me everytime i went repairing my gun. No problem from the point of view of server rules, I think there is! Then he got bored of it and drove towards last AUS flag, but once more, no problem with the rules!

I really think this kind of behaviour ruins the realistic approach of gameplay brought by the integration of PUSH mode. In WW2 and in that case of TOBRUk, hundreds of men rushed with tanks Rolling by their sides towards a wide  first line of defense, NO tank could have gone in Tobruk like that! No point of acting like that!

I'm really pissed by that!


Last week, I was playing on the german side on La Pointe Du Hoc, this was the first map of the eving for me, when I joined, Us rangers were able (green circle) to take the last flag and to blow out the 155mm guns. In that case, I spawned on the bottom left point,next to the guns on the left flank. This makes you spawn in a field surrounded by hedgerows. A couple of deaths after that, I spawned once more on the same location, and a whole ******* squad of US rangers were behind us while spawning. I said to myself " OK... I hope their just flanking us but don't think of staying in this location for good" and a good part of the squad did run towards the guns to destroy the objectives, BUT the Squad LEader and a rifleman Jobbab Something (who actually killed me, that's why I remmeber his name) stayed in fornt of the hedgerows behind us to light any Wermarcht soldier spawning there. This made the US ranger team to win the map...

...and this was the first map I played that evening....

I reported the Jobbab guy using !r code but no response.

So my point is that admins (and I don't know everyone of them, so I won't be able to name the admin that night) are not always making their job. That goes without saying that I truely think some abuses their "powers" to allow them some forbidden behaviours like spawnkilling where spawnpoints are not that good and may be confusing, because they're too close to cap area or in the middle of a field, in the open, so that the spawnkiller can say for his defense, I'm playing the objective, you were in my way... but next time you spawn, you are lit up by the same guy or another guy from his squad. I saw Capro (I think he is admin, could be wrong) doing this!


Those issues are not linked with FH2 devs, work or coding. This is pure server running problem. This is so annoying to encounter them every single evening that I reduced my game time on this wonderful mode. I only play this that said, some will say " Well, you're not the center of the 762 world so get along with it"
So I wonder what you think about it? Do you think this rule has never been good? Did you hae problems with admins not making the rules respected?

I don't think i'm asking the moon there...

Reconsider attacking red crossed flags as baseraping basically.

Modding / HUD

Good afternoon!

I use the realistic HUD settings from fh2settings.exe, it removes minimap, crosshair as well as ammo and stamina indicators.

I still have chat and killfeed.

I would like to remove at least the  killfeed, is this possible?
And to keep the chat but to have it smaller, if not possible, not a big deal.

Good evening everyone,

I was watching a video on YouTube of PR. And I told myself "damn those explosions are awesome!! Looking so real!"

Indeed and from an honest point of view, you only can admit it's true.

FH2 ones are outdated, I feel they lack real movement of dust but the color of the dust is ok I think..

And is it possible to make real looking columns of smoke above wrecks of vehicles or buildings?

I really feel that it would add so much intensity to the mod.... I know that PR borrowed you No4 at least, and the Saint lo breakthrough map for their WWII minimod. You could ask to rework their effects for FH2, right?!

Please just think about it! :)

Suggestions / Faces, View distance, damage data

I was in a trench on the siege of Tobruk in solo mode the other day and i said to myself looking at my lads... They all have the same faces!

How many faces are set per nation at this moment? Is it possible to add more faces, to reduce the chance to see in a trench, 5 guys perfectly twins (twins?!)

That was my first point, second one,
 when playing some aerial maps like, cobra, alam halfa, or even CMP ones I feel that there is a lack of view distance. You hear a plane far, the sound is "far" and suddenly, the sound is so close that you have 1 sec t turn your AA gun to face the threat, and like pilot have minimap or such then slaugther you easily.
Any possibilty to rework view distance then?

Third and last one, for the past week I really mentionned Something annoying, sometimes (i should say often) you hit a guy with rifle, or even worse with a knife, you can clear see the blood patch around him but NOPE he's fine, he'll turn around and hipfire you! It can also happen to me, I hear the flesh impact , see the blood but, nope, i'm fine!

That time when I stabbed a guy in the head and then he turned around and killed me with his sniper rifle made me Ragequit so hard!

What's wrong with the damage system ?

Good evening!

I feel very sad this evening...

As the time goes by, we lose players... And when FH tournament is going on, we are less than 40 (20 per team) to play on common server...

What a ******* shame!

You could have hoped to have full (or nearly) server each evening but now, it's more likely to happen only on saturday evening!

How sad, really!

I'm so pissed by the FH thing! tonight it's 34 on CMP server, 8 on #2, and 55 on FH T!

Splitting the community will ruin it!

FH2 is too great for that! I miss the 50 against 50 mess!

Anyone has ever thought of a way of gaining players or Something?!

Modding / MG42 sound

Good evening everyone!

I try for a long time now to replace the mg42 sound.

I did it for other MG or SMG but this one is Killing me!

I always have looping issue no matter what timing set for the cue points and regions.

I tried 0.926 (same value than original wav from the mod), 0.897, 0.800...

Each try includes to modify the pattern and I'm getting exhausted and hopeless with this MG42...

So can someone explains me where i'm wrong?

My file is 44100hz, 16bits, stereo (1p) and mono (3p) and my region is set from 0:00.000 to 0:00.926 at the moment but doesn't work.

Please help!

Loved it, and even if we lost that 76mm US managed to win that fight! :D

General / Tanks and vehicles

Good evening!

I wanted to open a discussion and have the answer of the devs about tanks and vehicles in general.

I have to say at first that the amount of work is just giant and it's the only game I keep playing because no other game or mod put me in the famous WW2 battles and in a degree of realism for landscapes and material used never seen elsewhere.

But due to the engine of BF2 (i'm pretty sure this is its reason) I feel like vehicles no have the weight they're supposed to have, their handling doesn't seem right.

Let me explain myself,

First example, the bren carrier, it weights 3.75 tons (Wikip├ędia) but in game, it feels like a car and breaks itself very easily when taking a slope too rapidly and when driving by the craters...

Second one, the Stuart ( works with any tanks really), 14 tons (average), accelerates like a race horse and performing wheelings when getting uphill or any slope.

I think you get the idea of what I want to say, is there any chance to make all ground vehicles HEAVIER so that you really feel its weight and its corresponding handling, in order to have most of the time the tracks or wheels on the dirt and not in the sky?

I appreciate any answer and opinion about it!

Suggestions / M7 Priest

Hi everyone! ;)

I often Wonder why there is no Priest in the US Army branch of FH2.

We've got the Bishop for the British, the Marder for the Reich but no Priest for US.

The question of its utility may be asked but I think that it could be great to see it replacing some Howitzers on certain maps like Operation Cobra which is armor oriented and maybe Vossenack, even though the two howitzers have a nice emplacement with sandbags.

If Priest is added to the game, the final push towards the Sexton would be plausible.

What do you think about it? :D

Suggestions / Forgotten Hope 2 Soundtrack

Hello everyone!

I always loved the tracks during loading times.

I thought maybe a Soundtrack would be cool.

Even with other WW2 themed songs or music tracks like the Community Map Pack.

I recognized most of them, I have them on Deezer but not in those versions, especially BF1942's theme.

And maybe why not opening a Community Soundtrack? And adding suggestions and additions from the players too!

It's 18:31, time to load the game and to enjoy both loading and gameplay!

Modding / Editing sound problem

Hi everyone!

I've manage to create a sound replacing tank gun sound in 1p by mixing differents sounds taken from a firing range last summer.

But when I load it in the game, the sound goes on a sature level, it's like someone is blowing in a microphone...

When I wanted to edit it in goldwave it suddently didn't recognize the format and ask me if it's raw and what type and so on...

I'm lost, I know 1p is stereo and 3p mono but I can't get it right because of Goldwave not knowing the format.

Anyway when I play the wav sound in WMP, it plays well.

Can someone help me?

Hi everyone!

Last month i was in a camping because of my work and I had 10A of electricity on my emplacment.

I tried to play FH2, the game started but the game was very very laggy due to battery saving  settings, I tried eveything (modifying battery saving settings, Nvidia graphic profile) that was usely the roots of my problems with lags.

That didin't work so I tried playing others games (COH europe at war) and it worked properly.

I didn't play FH2 during the rest of my stay over there.

I came back last week and my game was still laggy... I checked the Nvidia grahic profile and it was on Intel Graphic 4000 and not my GTX660M. I fixed that and I checked the battery saving settings to "Max performance" but now my game doesn't start at all!!

I open the laucnher, wlick play, and the screen turns black and that stay forever like that... no error message, Nothing.

Please help me!

GTX 660M
(MSI GE70)

Good evening everyone!

Don't want to troll or to annoy anyone but I do have some suggestions or thoughts if you want about the overall ambiance in the game.

1st: Is it possible as Hanley did in the past to have detailed textures of actual units on the right map.

For example, Pointe du Hoc would be US 2nd R Bn.  Omaha beach would be US 2nd R Bn and US 29th I'D with yingyang type on the helmet.
Also you will noticed that I mention only Allied forces because the use of designation markings were obvious at that time with helmet and shoulder patches.  Don't really search about Axis patches though.

2nd: Same thing but with vehicles as [FH2 beta tester] Matt Baker did.

3rd: Updating 3d models of infantry

To explain my thought,  I invite you to look at the stance of a soldier in BF2 in general. Looks like he rolls his back and acts like Quasimodo...
So this is more a question about that, is that possible to cancel that strange stance or at least to reduce it?

In any case, do you think that you can update 3d models in order to add more geometry. More "relief" as I would say in French...

Modding / Changing sounds of CMP planes

Good evening everyone!

I played CMP maps last time and as I already changed the sounds of the planes of vanilla planes with sounds of recorded engine sounds from IL2 mod, I would like to know how to change the sounds of thoses planes too.

Actually, i'm a user of Watchtower1001 sound mod and I customized it with sounds of other mods or games.

So technically, I don't know how to create sounds or editing them... Basically, I'm just a copy-paster!

My question is how to change the sound called in a certain file to play when the object is used?

In fact, I noticed that some weapons don't have a sound folder which contains wav files. And i suppose that a file calls an other folder to play wav files... (Hope you're not lost..!!!)

So what's the name of that file?

NB: I don't share my "sound mod" so it's respecting the terms of agreement of mods used to create mine.
