Being realistic I'd say that scenario is just another way of saying map, as Gold Beach is a new 'scenario' in the current 'theater' of Normandy that's been in-game.

But since this is a conspiracies thread its obviously the Brazilian Expeditionary Force in the Battle of Collecchio 8)

Gold Beach was honestly a surprise to me. I'm sure the devs have other maps that are WIP for current theaters, but I can't think of any that have been hinted at nor have I seen any on the test server.

Had an Epic round on Gazala earlier today 8) was a close round all game. The Germans had us bleeding for a while and were ahead by about 30 or so tickets. Towards the end of the round we managed a successful attack on the Box and got them bleeding. Then, a company of panzers eventually pushed through our defense at Knightsbridge, with well coordinated air-cover from the Stukas. Each team held two flags and it was stalemated at about 30 tickets each. My SL and our squad decided to take the opportunity to make a push on Knightsbridge from Acroma. It was a ballsy move considering the tickets were even and low, but if we were successful the Germans would bleed and stand no chance.

We pushed on Knightsbridge and caught the Germans by surprise. Using a 'honey' to stifle the AT guns on the hill, we rushed the flag with a UC and took it to start the bleed. From there, we set up defensive positions on the AT guns on the hill East of the flag and watched as our Grant reinforcements surrounded a panzer counter attack and cut it apart 8)

The end result was an amazing game on a great 'old' map that I hadn't played in forever, this is why I love FH ;)

Man you're so late, I don't even remember what the old Bardia was like.

lol I've played it a ton since then, just never got around to providing any feedback. These forums barely get any love. hopefully the devs still sift through these from time to time :P

Haven't said before that I love the new atmosphere on this map, really did a lot to make it less BF2ish and make it one of the better looking maps in the mod 8)

I've never had a problem with the Matilda camping but I haven't played this map in a while. I'd vote against removing it tho as it was the 'poster-child' of this battle.

My only suggestions would be to try and take away any blatantly German things on the map. Obviously the 88 needs to be there to counter the Matilda and the Italians don't have a big enough gun in-game to replace it. But I'd agree with taking away the k98 sniper and replacing it with a Pattern 14, as suggested before. Most other German things on the map have slowly been weeded out as the mod has progressed and hopefully that continues ;)

My last suggestion would be to change the Australian player models on the map. Obviously BF2 can't really replicate the coats the Aussies actually wore and it'll never be 100% historically accurate. But I'd put the same commonwealth player models that are on Mareth and Tunis on this map. Just giving the Aussies some long sleeves and pants instead of the shorts etc.. to represent the desert cold in January.

I like the way this map plays tho, never had a problem with it and it provides some good infantry fights. Iirc I don't think the Aussies have a dome of death around their main tho, the Italians can walk right in. Never had a problem with this before but it should probably be there.

More vids can only add players :D keep 'em coming guys

Great Vid shake! ;)

Dunno, but Anctoville uses a generic FH2 Normandy church static. BTW, you people like this kind of comparison thing, right? Cause I'm thinking about doing it for one of the upcoming maps, as an advertisement thing.

Of course! :D this thread should be stickied imo. using it for advertisement is a perfect idea. Shows off the attention to detail and what FH2 is all about.

1467
OooOoOO thats Sonnenwende :o didn't recognize it almost. Yea I kinda like the original muddy feel better.

1468
Wow :o Anctoville was honestly one of the maps I thought was more or less fictional (in terms of not being based off a real map)

Was that church rebuilt? or is that the original church from the '40s?

VERY nice looking map aserafimov 8) these towns really have a great feel. Muddy road tracks through the snow and a great skybox. Kudos to the FH Devs who made all the environmental props and all the Forgotten Honor mappers for putting them to good use.

Ahhh the frustration of online play ;D you've gotten a lot better since the first videos I saw ;) great gameplay (good editing out the death screens too). We need some outreach into the NA community so the more publicity for FH2 the better, hopefully the outreach you have on YT can get us some more new players.

You had some great teamwork there & your score shows it, nice to see someone who understands the importance of teamwork. You had some nice kills too, even got MajorIIKoenig a couple of times. He's usually got the quick trigger ;)

Mind if I drop some tips for tanking? 'F' or the scroll wheel will change the type of rounds you have in a tank (AP/HE/Smoke etc...) (you probably know that but I didn't see it in the vid) Also if you go into settings you can adjust the mouse sensitivity for the tank (lower it to get more control) as default it trails a bit. Also the map you were playing was Meuse River :D We have a Bastogne map too tho and it's a lot of fun, you can even see the 101st patches on the players shoulders 8)

You're right when you say it's the greatest WW2 game out there, the detail is amazing and it's good to see someone who appreciates good work. Keep up the vids man they can only do good.

P.S. I'm gonna use the term 'toe poppers' from now on ;D
