Suggestions / PPD-40
« on: 29-11-2016, 14:11:12 »
Can you please add the PPD-40, the main Russian sub-machinegun in 1941. It looks a lot like the Suomi KP/-31 SJR, which means that texturing and animations would be easy. The Finns captured a few thousand and used them to good effect. Below is a picture of a Russian rambo armed with a PPD-40.  ;D ;D

Tactics & Tutorials / Sniper Enviroments
« on: 29-11-2016, 14:11:55 »
The main key to being a successful sniper like Vasily Zaitsev and others is environment. In the Normandy campaign, German snipers kick ass, as their olive grey uniform are blended into the bocage. Their high telescopic magnification is useful compared to the American and Soviet counterparts. Only the British are close, with their P14 snipers. In the desert, you are mostly out in the open, but there is also bushes for limited cover. In the winter, the situation is like in the desert, but there are forests in which is best to hide in. Your winter camouflage, (for the Germans) is ideal, as it looks from a distance, as just a pile of snow. In the fall campaigns, bushes are your friends. Forests also heal a good amount. Good luck.

Tactics & Tutorials / Bolt-Action Rifles
« on: 26-11-2016, 09:11:10 »
There will always be at least 2 kits for bolt-action rifles for any nation, on any map. These rifles are the backbone of any faction and will serve you well if cared properly for. These rifles, depending on the nation may be equipped with rifle-grenade launches. However, every weapon has a drawback. For most of the rifles, it is the poor performance in close quarters, where sub-machine guns are useful, or at even closer ranges, melee weapons such as the bayonet, knife, or pitchfork(an easter egg). Long ranges is what the rifle was made for. Use this to your advantage.

This topic is to thank Devs for the awesome content for this year, 2016. I will never loose faith in you and will always wait for new content and devblogs. You have shown the gaming community what a small development team can do in such a big game. I will always recommend FH-2 to my friends and will always play this great game.

A huge cheer to the Devs!!

Community Polls / How to use Semi-Auto rifles corectly
« on: 22-11-2016, 21:11:33 »
Many people treat the semi-auto rifle as an assault weapon, BUT, do not fall for that trick. You, as long as you have a rifle, you are a rifleman and should act in that way. Pick enemies of at distance quickly, and exploit the 0.5 second reload to give the enemy 2 shots, while he can give you only 1 shot with his bolt-action rifle (except the Americans, who usually use the M1 Cabrine and Garand, although there is the person who chooses the Springfield or M1917 rifle as their main weapon). In close quarters, your long rifle is useless (unless fitted with a bayonet, in the Soviet and American case). Sub-machine gunners are the fist of any assault, except battles that include long distances, while you and the machine gunners are to consolidate the flanks of your group. But in long ranges, the submachine guns are pretty much useless, unless you are the state-of-the-art shooter and end with a lucky kill, and the Riflemen go to work with their long range ability.

P.S Vote for which tutorial I should do next.

Suggestions / Accurate medals
« on: 22-11-2016, 10:11:25 »
Can there be medals for different nations with statutes that have to be fulfilled to achieve the medal. For example, the order of victory can be given only to commanders of the soviet teams for successfully coordinating squads and units in an attack which resulted in the enemy's defeat. Another example would be the military cross that was awarded to British officers and above. So that means NCO's and Commanders of the British team can earn them for capturing or defending areas of importance.

I have read in an old post that the single player campaign will be in 2.4, but it is already 2.53 and there is no option about the campaign in the menu. Am I missing something?

FH2 Help / Support / Luftwaffen-Drilling M30
« on: 20-11-2016, 10:11:41 »
I have been playing FH-2 for quite some time and one weapon I have rarely used is the M30 Drilling. I read about it and found out that it was given to Luftwaffe pilots as a survival weapon if shot down. But I have not stumbled across it in any of the pilot kits. I only used it once on Battle of Foy when I captured one from a German soldier. I have also heard about the "crazy farmer" kit but have not seen it. Can you guys list on which maps is the Drilling on?
