I know we played it once but there weren't enough people.  It seemed like the Lafette was a bit much.  We'll have to try it with 16+.

As a member of the map-pack team, thank you for your support and thank the Devs who have taken interest in this and have already provided valuable guidance.

I am certain that we will be amending the maps after they've had a good pubby testing.  I'm sure that we will see many ways to improve play-ability and perhaps we will attract more mappers who will help us with the quality.

Constructive comments will be welcome.  Rumors are not.

This thread is for WaW server's Thursday and Saturday night events.  We had a good crowd of 20 last night.  It usually kicks off around 8pm USA Eastern.

The problem with the Half-tracks and Hannomags stopped on an upward slope was definitely present in 2.45.  They just take too long to get traction.  It's embarrassing for drivers as the passengers tend to yell GO, GO, GO! and then jump out because they assume you are just being a 'tard.  A little delay is OK but it's like more than 5 seconds.

The main problem I notice with vehicle acceleration is when stopping a halftrack or hanomag on a slope.  It takes several seconds to get moving again.  It's really un-realistic and detracts from gameplay.  It doesn't seem to happen with trucks and tanks.

We really need some of you pub admins to test these maps that will get release to all public servers soon.  This will not be like Custom Sunday.  Every M'F'er and their mother will be playing these.  We want them to be good.  If you are not an admin but would like to help us, send me a PM there or here and maybe I'll slip you some download links.
BTW we will try to test tomorrow (Sunday) at 8pm any time zone.

Too much concealment of MGs and AT guns would turn most maps into Omaha Beach IMO.
Remember there is no revive option or much suppression like that other mod.  Fh2 players need a chance to take out or avoid these weapons.

It's seems that 762 is damned when they do and damned when they don't.  I know plenty of people who have given up on FH2 because of too many asshats on pubby not because of strict admins.  I'm sure that the good players who have left out-number people who have been banned.  It is hard to count them because they just leave quietly without some dramatic swan-song forum post.

The question is: "Which action contributes to the death of a game more?"

A:  Too strict rules and enforcement.
or
B:  Too many asshats and hackers.

If you think the answer is A, you might be an asshat.

Maybe 762 should tighten up the teamwork rules on one server and loosen them on their other server.  I would love to see a server that encouraged Mumble and enforced squad play.  The other server could test if camping uncaps really makes the game more enjoyable.

You know, there is more than one server.  If this mod is going to stay alive, we need to populate all of them.  Some of them have improved lately and have good pings for people on both sides of the Atlantic.  Give them a try with your friends before you quit the mod.
