I don't understand why French maps were changed to standard maps... If sb had these maps and wanted to play them, he would have joined the server...  ::)

the problem was that this event was held on 126player server and attract to many ppl who wanted to play standard maps... If we had normal 64 server with french maps only it could be much more attractive because:

1. ppl who wantend to play on 126 server were wainting for standard maps to fill the server, play 64+ massacre and don't give a fuck about french hope
2. ppl who wanted to play french maps assumed that it does not pay to download your maps because they stand not long enough on the server and there will be standard maps again before they could join

As long as there is 126 players server running with basic FH2 maps on it, people will join to have brainless fun and they will be kicked when custom maps appears because they don't have them and there is nothing to force them to donwload them. Also many of those kicked lazy assholes won't download them at all because of rage after disconnect. People join big server and don't give a single fuck about your tests, you need play FrH maps only to change this...

...but most players tend to drive the spawn APC in front of a PAK and leave it there. Just my thoughts.
that's because ppl don't care about APCs now, they're just work like taxis and have nothing more to offer, when we can spawn on SL with almost any kit we want any time we want...

some rather revolutionary idea:
Every player which is not in a squad starts with the simpliest kit in the game. the rifleclass
To take other weapons, he needs to join a squad, and the squadleader could click somewhere and says what he wants the player to spawm with.
Or that the player always spawms as rifleclass, and can then choose at the SL which gun he wants. Somekind like at PR
Classes limitted per squad is a great idea which I will always support. But instead of choosing guns at SL they could be "taken" from some APCs in somehow limited way, giving some unique kits or for example one satchel/bazooka/LMG kit per halftruck or so. APCs could be also the only mobile spawnpoints. This solution will add a lot of value to armored taxis dropped on every corner of the maps we have now.

Static spawnpoint, especially in the form of some magically appearing radiostation would provide some spawn raping.

That was what i thought when I saw them. I hope to see all La Varde statics in better quality someday.

About OD: did fights took place in Sanatorium near Zuydcoote? If not, it should be off the combat area (something like mainfield on hurtgen) because it will be hard to make it good and realistic looking so it could be only nice looking thingy on horrizon or from air to avoid making uber detailed statics.

Also: Doesn't map lacks some blockhouse/bunker stuff?

Ok, as I will pop up tomorrow only for a moment I have tested maps once again and looked for the detalis. Still, Sedan is not thrilling. But I changed my mind about Dynamo after about 2h of driving around the map. The flat area makes this map look much bigger than it really is but it's awesome.

Thing that annoys me on this one is lack of some artistic feel when you look on villages, farms and german mainbase, maybe it is because it is WIP, but it can discourage some ppl and make bad first impression on a PUBLIC test. It need to be limited on edges - you can now drive out of the map! :P
