Ok i couldnt get the automatic installer to work, so i had to do it the hard way.  I know where to put the levels and they work, but where do i put the fh2t_pub folder content?  The maps work fine, but some buildings are missing, can someone help?  ??? ???

This is really cool 8), i had suggested an Italian Campaign before, but they said they had no buildings.  Hopefully this will give them alittle nudge to get the campaign into the game now.  Cant wait to download and try it out.

Suggestions / Deployable Objects

I would like to see more deployable objects in this game.  Things like sand bags, barbed wire, and other things.  I think they would add a new feeling when you can block paths.  Most of us have played the maps enough that we know where every path is.  If they could be blocked it would force us to think about how we wish to procced.  They would be able to be destroyed either by explosives or taken down with the wrenge by the engineer.  Any other ideas?

Also the flares go down on the ground too fast. The time of the flare being on the air should be increased.

Something else I would like to see is kinda a vehicle, and can be found on a farm.  How about horses?  They were still used to carry messages and the germans used them to move materials when fuel became short.  I dont know how hard of a model they would be to make, but i still think they would be cool.

I wouldnt make the ammo bag unlimited, only like 2 or 3 uses til gone.  If we cant get a grenade, can it be made so that you can atleast shoot from the crouch position?  You would still be "deployed" you cant move, but atleast you can defend a house.  Im only suggesting this because its hard to get good team work on a public server.

I understand the purpose of the machine gunner.  But its very hard to get a cordinated squad on public servers.  Most of the time your on your own trying to either hold or take a position.  Thats why i suggested the grenade.  The ammo bag was to encourage team work, since you could give your squad/team mates ammo.  This might get people to work together more, but its a slim chance.

Ive been playing FH2 for sometime now, and one thing ive noticed is that its seems like the machine gunner kit is kinda "unpowered."  I know in real life the gunner was just ment to provide cover fire, but in FH2 the game play demands more.  I think the kit could use atleast one grenade and maybe an ammo bag like BF2.  The nade I think would be very useful for the germans and itlians since they can only use ther guns laying down.  It would give them a way to clear a building other than just there side arm.  Any feed back?

The BF2 faces may not look the best, but they would work til something better could be made.  Same with the voices, might just have to settle for what we have til something better can be made.  I feel that thats something that holds this game back, it has such a high standard that its hard to get new things into the game without alot of work and shot down ideas.

Well if we can't add minor nations just yet, how about what im going to call "minor units".  These would be units in the army that were "different" such as the US 442nd which was a japanese american unit.  Or the few colored units that served in the war, like the 2nd Cavalry Division.  I don't think these would be to hard to add as they only need modified US uniforms and used US weapons.  I don't know any from other countries but maybe someone else does.

I just checkout the Stonne map, and im hooked.  I am really hoping that some minor nations get into this game.  France is among one of the nations that doesnt get into alot of games. FH2 would be a great place to let the French shine.  I hope the devs respect the work put into this map and others and eventually let the French (and others) into the game.  I know there focused on the eastern front, but thats a ways off and including the French would be a nice treat.  ;D ;D

LOL someone watched to many action movies. You know how hard it is to kill somebody quietly with a thrown knife? I don't, but I doubt it works well.
To answer your question: My guess is they usually silenced guards per bullet or maybe by slitting their throat.
Well i guess this game has a fine line between realsitic warefare and gameplay.  Guess its up to the devs to decide whether the game would benefit from something like this or not.

I guess i see how throwing a knife is unrealistic? You can't tell me british comandos wouldnt throw a knife to take out an enemy guard?  ??? ???

Can BF2 support throwing knifes like in BF1942?  Would be cool to be able to sneak up behind someone and get him, without having to get to close or give your position away.  ;)
it is posible but then you will not able to use it as a melee weapon, only throwable (there is no alt fire in BF2)
What about putting the throwing knife as number 2 and melee as number 1? Then you can choose how to use it. Like grenades, you can either throw it or use a grenade launcher (if you have a rifle kit).
