I'm starting to get grumpy. Nothing new? At least one little thing?

That's all for today.

And I appreciate the answer, however, wouldnt high res retextures make the game look better? Just out of curiosity. I suppose that my high end settings could run it easily. Of course, it isnt a priority as of yet.

Not really feasible. Textures were made for the size they are used. Redoing all textures for that is not something anyone here aims for or would be a great benefit.
But as Natty said, the closer you go to objects the more you notice it. You have this still in modern games upon some closeup distances.  :)

Nissi are you sure about that, Eastern front will be the last theater?

I never said that. I only said that Natty is right on that. No one knows, time will tell... or not.  ;)
I just wanted to stop some people that are hyping the hopes.

great to see some statics rendered, it'd be great if there'd be a devblog about fh2's statics someday, most have as much details as a tank

Likelihood isn't 0.  :)

One of the pak bunkers, the one of the pak43 at WN61 was quite large. But not really such a "def gun".

One of the bigger afillade bunkers above Omaha.

Don't forget the many "beuteguns" such as the czech 7.62cm guns or the Renault tanktowers. And of course the Pak43 placement(s).

Digging in like the Japanese.  :P

No, MG position were sometimes also direct. Especially for the well known WN62.
True however for the Pak-guns, which where placed as such:

Crucial difference is the terrain (no cliffs), depending on the specific beach chosen. Mostly flatness of terrain, such as:

same terrain from below, view to WN62 (Severloh)

View from the same positing reversed..
