Suggestions / Individual movement (Nerf the spiders!)
« on: 04-02-2018, 03:02:17 »
Hello!

1. One of the first things I noticed while playing FH2 is that everyone has unlimited stamina and therefore has the ability to run maraton distances with full gear. On top of that one can jump like a rabbit infinitely. So my suggestion is to add a bit of stamina touch to the game. Maybe not like in PR where you run to the other end of the building and then have to wait 2 mins before crossing the street because your batteries are being rechaged. But at least a little restriction won't hurt IMO.

2. Limit the strafe ability because... eh it looks a bit ridicolous when someone misses his shot and then proceeds to dance left and right like a crab preparing for attack. After all, humans have only 2 legs and are not able to move to the sides in such manner. We are not spiders. I don't want strafing to be removed, just nurfed a little (altough even I exploit it in its current state). I think PR did it well... hell, even in BF1 you can't dance around like a spider.

I believe that these changes will make the gameplay a bit more tactical and fun.

P.S I tried going left and right with .22 rifle to see how ridicolous is this IRL. The results were rather hilarious and look nothing like strafing in-game.

FH2 Help / Support / FH2 won't start
« on: 03-12-2017, 23:12:42 »
Hello all!
A month ago I had a problem with a game which basically deleted all my games in folder "Games". Anyways, I want to install FH2 again but since "Revive" is dead dead (because it can't be revived he he... he, ok I'll stop) the installation has to be done the old way.

To the problem itself:

After installing BF2+1.41+1.5+FH2 I get error message because NovintHFX.dll is missing. I tried to download the .dll separately and put it in BF2's directory but then I get another error message: DirectX 9 3.0c is not installed. I reinstalled everything 2-3 times but with no result.

There is another detail: When BF2's installation is finnished I don't get the window where you press "Finnish" but a blank turquoise screen and nothing else. The only way to exit the setup wizard is by finding it in Task menager and force it to stop.

Hello guys!
Few weeks ago I was at a friend who wanted to show me Insurgency and some other new games. I've never played them because my PC wouldn't let me. However, I noticed something very interesting- there was no indicator for how much rounds you have in the magazine and neither automatic reloading. You had to do everything yourself. I have seen such things in other titles like RO, PR, Arma, Day of Infamy and most of the games that are considered "realistic".

My question is: what do you think of implementig these elements (manual reloading and no bullet indicator) in FH2. IMO this will make the game look more "serious" and will add to the immersion. If you think about it, you can't know exactly how much rounds you have in your weapon if not counting them. Only rough numbers like half a magazine, or 2 thirds which can be represented as a "phone like battery" indicator.

If you think that this is going to be ridicolous, why not include the manual reloading only?

Today, after a frustrating round on Sfakia I decided to test myself with a human benchmark-something a friend was challenging me to do some time ago.
So if you don't know what this is-it simply measures the time that takes you to react. There is nothing complicated here-just press the mouse button after you see green screen. You should repeat the exersice at least 5 times to get good average number!
To start with me: 208ms

GOOD LUCK!

Hello guys.
So since about 2 or 3 weeks the maps on the server have began to load more slowly (762). Did you know that there is male vocal on the Seelow Heights map song? It usually gets stuck at 14%, when loading "Objects", like back then when the PCs were really slow and stuck at the 62nd% in BF2. My PC specs are:

Intel Celeron Dual Core 2 Ghz (Overclocked to 2,4 Ghz)
2 GB RAM
Radeon HD3450
Absolute beast huh?

Now the loading screen stays longer than the one in War Thunder.

General / Do you like your Mosin-Nagant?
« on: 23-07-2016, 23:07:55 »
Hello guys!

Let me talk about some weapons and what I think about them.
So first, lets start with the Mosin-Nagant 30/91-not my favourite WW2 rifle because of it's poor quality. However, it's a very nice weapon model, maybe my favourite and it's sights are fine. But the bolt reloading animations are a bit too "bolt" for me. Take for example the Springfield A4. I think the animations are a lot more smoother than thoose of the Mosin-Nagant. Same applies for it's carabine variants.

Now the carabines are just things that I run away from. Why? Look at the sights, the foresight stays too high. I am not weapon expert but I can tell you if you put the foresight/muzzle sight like that the bullet is not going to hit the target but will land under it instead. This is the reason why I can't hit sh*t with the carabines (M38; M44). I don't know how to aim these and where to shoot.

In addition to the sharp moving animations we have something weird "shaking" after looking trough sights or reloading. I think it is something bug. It is like "zooming and unzooming" without asking it to do it and it's very annoying.

Here is also a thing I'd like to suggest-MG-34/42 hip fire but without the possibility to look trough sights and aim. AFAIK you can land accurate bursts up to 50-60m if you shoot like that. We can use this for very CQC situations, like in houses or bunkers maybe.

General / Which maps are based on real places
« on: 22-05-2016, 23:05:50 »
Hello guys.
I want to ask which of the maps are remake of real pieces of land. And also which are scaled and which are 1:1. That's all. Have a good night!

Off-Topic / How would you prefer FH2 to be?
« on: 05-04-2016, 01:04:00 »
Hello comunnity.
I play the mod for around 5 months and I was curious what do you guys think? There are arguments around the forums but I haven't found such poll yet.
So I would prefer FH2 to be a bit slower peaced game. Just enough so the guys with CoD syndrome can't ruin the experience of the game. We all know who are we talking about: those who run around and kill you without aiming more than 0,1 seconds. Sometimes I don't have enough pixels (1280x1024 resolution) to see them well but they will certainly kill me.

That's all. Sorry for my B1 English.
