Title: [How to] Install without overwrite my BF2+BF2hub
Post by: Ris8 on 31-12-2017, 09:12:40
Ciao,
very compliments for your awesome work and sorry for my ignorance about,
I'd like to know if installing FH2 it will overwrite my BF2 that I play online by BF2hub?

How can I play FH2 without replace the existing BF2 game who finally works fine online with BF2hub?
...maybe copy/past BF2 and BF2hub directory?  ???
(I'm not an expert and I can play online at last: It was very difficult for me find out how, installation etc)

I know FH2 is better, but I don't want to risk if FH2 doesn't work, all above online.  8)

Thanks and happy new year with FH2!!!!!  ;)

I'm not sure as I'm not familiar with BF2hub, but copying the BF2 folder and then installing FH2 into that should work, as long as the path is the same as in a "normal" BF2 install.

BF2hub seems to be a serverside account management.
FH2 doesn't need that afaik
If you have  bf2 install(+patches), it's enough.

FH2 is a mod, it won't overwrite bf2.
With the original bf2 install, it creates a new directory :
(it should be something like that)
c:/Program Files/EA  GAMES/Battlefield  2/mods/fh2

Remember to launch FH2 via FH2 launcher only:

PS: if your bf2 copy is from steam, you can check this topic (i think it is the good one):

I once had BF2 hub + FH2 running together.

I once had BF2 hub + FH2 running together.

I think I've had it run for years already in the background.
