Hey im pretty new to the game, I love playing, but I dont have half the maps that are played on the populated server, where can i download and install them?

I installed it because i have also problems with those CMP maps

I try to update the community map pack, but there are no seeds he is stuck at searching for seeds :/

maybe try again some other time until you find a seed

Absolutely great... I hate these insular gaming communities. FH2 is such a unique product, yet any new player would have to endure immense torture before being allowed to play.

Why not just put every single map out there to be downloaded separately (like in BF1942), for example? Why should we endure this launcher? I had to delete my maps, now goodbye, hope!

Because we update them every few months.  It's not like BF42 where everything is dead.
I'm not sure what is happening with the updater this week, but it worked fine in the past and will work fine in the future.

Sorry for reviving an old thread.  :-[

Windows 10.

Recently re-installed BF2/FH2. Had a few games then, bingo.."You don't have this map.."

I gathered I had to download the "Community Updater". So I have done that just now. (Now have x2 FH2 Desktop Icons).

Do I have to doubleclick the updater everytime I'm online? It gets the maps from "seeds" yes?  :-\  How do I know it's downloading anything? (Seeding to 0 Peers at 0KB/s) ???

 There doesn't seem to be a way to check etc

You can check it by looking inside C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\fh2\levels
See if there are any new maps in there.

Perhaps early days yet as there's no new maps in that folder you mention..

In the Hidden Icons tray, FH2 Comm. Updater is there (It doesn't seem to launch automaticaly on startup) but still no Seeding going on.

On this link from the forum here: http://fhpubforum.warumdarum.de/index.php?topic=21605.0 I can't seem to find any options to select "Option 2" i.e. the Community Map Pack / Matt Baker's Texture Pack etc. There is no such window on the Launcher I have.

Unless that was the old way of doing it?

Is there any tricks I should be using as I have Windows 10? Admin/Compatability mode etc  ???
