Finally, starting this Friday we will be playing new custom maps for Campaign #7.  Forgotten Honor is proud to present this all new airborne Campaign featuring the U.S. 101st Airborne Division against the German Lehr Division.  This weeks map starts it off right with a massive airborne jump into Normandy France.  And when I say massive airborne drop I mean it.  Thanks to TASS, our F|H Mod Development Manager, we have C47 planes that spawn not only players over the skies of Normandy, but also many dummy parachutes as well.  The skies will literally be filled with parachutes.

"In the early hours of D-Day, a second wave of C-47's carrying airborne infantry over the coast of Normandy, heads towards the Merderet River. Their mission: To secure or destory bridges over the Merderet River leading to the beaches at Utah. Despite flying at low levels, the heavy cloud cover and fog, along with the heavy fire from the German AA flak batteries, disperses the C-47's and their paradrops over a wide area. Far from their original objectives and with equipment lost, the airbourne infantry must find a way to group up and secure the roads in and leading out of a little town called Amfreville."

Historically, dummies were parachuted along with Airborne troops during D-Day to psychologically add both to the overwhelming nature of a massive airborne drops while also adding to the confusion of the defenders on the ground.

Without armor, arty, or air support, the 101st will have to land and group up to advance on German positions around the city of Amfreville.  Their advance will be difficult through the maze of hedgegrove fields, stone fences, and back pathways.  Clearly visible pathways, like roads will be difficult to travel as they will be patrolled by German support vehicles.  Even crossing roads may prove hazardous as the Germans will surely set up dangerous lines of fire.

In Forgotten Honor: Rendez Vous with Destiny, you will experience:
