Played a game of Bastogne 64 today, and the only time I died was when my team killed me for surviving more then was needed. In the end I got 9 kills, 1 death but despite losing, I think I did pretty well. I'm afraid the 15 minute wait for the round to end actually caused a good 16+ people to leave. My main goal when playing is to always get at least one more kill then death.
Personally, I don't really care much for tanks or APCs and prefer to walk the entire length of Hurtgen Forest, or what have you. The longest way is always the safest way. And remember to make sure you know how many enemies there are downrange, and try not to miss.
A very important thing to remember is not everyone plays with their graphics turned all the way up, and while you may think the shadows or tall grass you are in conceals you, to some enemies your cover is completely invisible. I myself play at these low settings for the competition and because my PC can't exactly handle it.
