How to use this awesome stuka on foot vehicle?
I know I need to turn the vehicle and It can only aim vertically.
But targets? How does it work? How to shoot it accurate?
Sd.Kfz 251 Ausf. D

I'm afraid the only way to aim is by trial and error. Thus you are better using it on Villers where you can see a long way rather than Luttich where you can't. I suppose you eventually will get the hang of it.
-
Sadly our current artillery system does not work with mobile guns, so as EU said you need to aim by sight (or by sound on Lüttich ;)). Who knows, perhaps one day some genius coder will devise a new system so we can do away with this.

Write to your Team or better talk to your squad, if there see, where youu hit.
And don't change the angle too much while shooting. On most Servers you see people, that change the angle of the stuka on foot to strafe an area more effectily. But in fact, they shoot across the whole map. That decreases the effectiveness a lot. Try to shot all six rockets with no, or only a slight change of the angle.

Some good hints is to go to singleplayer on the map "Luttich 64"
Practice makes perfect.

You need to be two guys, and trough VOIP the "Spotter" tells me if my shot land short or to far...
or if you need to adjust Horizontal ( do it roughly with help of the big-map)
i am a lier, i never really bothered with it (Stuka zu fuss was my favorite in Fh1) in FH2 i rather charge a flag...
maybe i use it for the Lulz sometime, I dunno... ::)
Slap me with a rotten fish, oh please dear lord

From the spawning location on Luttich you can hit Mortain. Use the minimap to face in the right direction then use a ruler or just guestimate if you are on par with the intended target.

You might ;) I can guestimate the my line fo fire.

I remember a time when it was not too uncommon to see people placing some duct tape on their monitor to create a crosshair for the awp in CS 1.6 ;D
-
you don't need a ruler, two fingers would do the trick. Provided if you know how far the rockets goes.
it is approxiately 2.1 diagonals on the minimap. Haven't fired that for quite a while though. (never joined a server with enough enemies for me to rocket, you tends to TK a lot with that stuff also.
-
Now you don't need to do anything anymore. In 2.3, there will be no more guessing.
-
Sob ... my old trusty ruler became obsolete :'(

You could always try doing what I see in pubs. Use it as a taxi and watch me steal it and drive it back to main, then get teamkilled by a guy camping on a hill in a sherman.

I tried to drive it into a ditch so I could shoot the rockets straighter... didnt work.
-
Ha, I usually just use it for an antitank gun. I wish the devs would make it where the Stuka on foot had the driver as the guy manning the stuka too, even though the other way helps create good teamwork.

Yeah it would be nice if it could be like the Marder in FH1.
-
We did this on purpose. It's not a vehicle you should be able to fire when driving.
In real life, the blast from the rockets forced the operators of this weapon to get out off the vehicle and launch the rockets from a safe distance away.

I love the Sd.Kfz 251 Ausf. D, but it is not an easy weapon to wield.
Aiming is difficult. It is best to park in a field and alternate between the drivers position and the firing position to aim it. I back-turn in the opposite direction. IF the range is short, you have to turn in very small increments. This is made even more difficult if you have multiple targets and the target you want is not the first displayed.
Range is also difficult. It general seems to overshoot, but all the rockets fall at varying ranges.
Because of this, you really don't want a friendly anywhere near your target. Also it is easier to aim and shoot with longer ranges.
I look forward to the next theater when the Sd.Kfz 251 Ausf. D should really start to come into its own.

For a big map I wish there were multiple Stuka on foot. Then you can have awesome rocket volleys lol
