The FH2 webserver logs each hit to the BF2 ingame ad image, so we can get some idea of the numbers of players we have, or at least how often FH2 has been started.
These are the stats for the last 16 days, from [10/Jun/2018:06:49:22 +0000] until [26/Jun/2018:12:28:57 +0000]
Total number of image requests during this time is 11329. This means FH2 has been started this often by all players combined, even those who dont play online. It´s about 687 FH2 starts per day.
According to the users languague settings, the game looks for different images. Here you see the country and number of requests.
image_english 8588
image_German 916
image_Spanish 375
image_Polish 336
image_French 265
image_Russian 256
image_Chinese 188
image_Italian 107
image_Swedish 102
image_Dutch 100
image_Japanese 39
image_Korean 32

Though we dont know if it was just one player starting the game hundred times, or a hundred players each starting it once, it still gives us a rough idea of the interest in FH2.

How long does your database go back? And to what detail, i.e. daily or hourly, does your data go to? This would allow to analyze different communities by timezones.
As well as the long range trend, the influence of updates, mappacks or campaigns would be interesting.

Each hit is an individual entry with date and time and it goes back a few years. So yes, something like "daily total" over the last few years should be possible.
But first I need to find a proper software for such evaluations.

Wow, thought it lean more heavily towards the Germans.

Wow, thought it lean more heavily towards the Germans.
Note that many layers in different countries have their games in English (I'm an example of that myself). So the English bias is a bit less heavy than you might think.

Yeah, I am one of those English users too. This doesn't include my brother and friends who copied the FH2 installer from me.
