IIRC BGF made greatcoats, and they were pretty cool

The only things the models are missing are mitts or gloves for the Germans. The Americans can go without then since they were short on proper winter clothing. (if I'm not too wrong about that)

Who exports the soldiers in FH2 ? Is it Gunnie aka TrahnLee ? (I ask, but I could take a look at the .con files of the soldiers...:P)

Great update!! The models look badass. Do they have a new face ?

These where the men of the 101st airborne. The american troops in the bulge where mostly equipped with winter clothing. The problem was that it was like a resort. A place where troops could take a breather from the combat, as nobody expected that the germans would dare to attack via the ardennes

Deja vu on that last verse anyone?

Most of them by me. There's little coding involved, most of the time is spend (or rather wasted) on restarting  bf2editor between exports, to check if the vertex weights look ok. Tweaking the vertex weights is a difficult process because BF2 supports only one vertex weighted to two bones. That's why some FH2 skins look warped a bit in some poses, especially near the crotch are, and this is also what would make long trench coats warp.

Another problem is that many of the BF2 animations have very strange poses. The BF2 player models look reasonable in these poses because their player models have much fewer polygons than ours, so there are less distortions near joints.

Anyway, recently I've added animation playback to BfMeshView, which should significantly improve our player model export work flow (and yes there will soon be a new BfMeshView release).

Nope, the heads are the same as Normandy Heer/SS. But maybe I'll do some minor reskins to give them a slightly paler skin color and red cheeks/nose. :)

Ah, Remdul, the one who makes modders' life easier. :)

I have seen recently that you have made a new script to import colmeshes, it will be quite useful for me, since sometimes I have to modify exports and I don't have any export scene to work on.

Thanks for your answer. I have never had the chance to export soldiers (since Project Reality prefers using existing vbf2 models), it sounds to be the hardest thing to export in BF2.

It still misses something

*looks at his Allied things still missing list and italian things still missing list
Ahh that!

I do understand now why the germans used half white, half regular army camoflage.
We went on our own winter offensive airsofting yesterday. Some guys had full white the others full regular outfits. And both dint worked properly

exept when it went dark, then the Full army costumes where actually better then the full white

tao: the german winter uniform was reversable. Outside it was camo, and inside it was white.
And it is better to have a mixed outfit. Clear white will stick out easier then little white and little camo.

And why they got half white half camo? Well maybe the uniform was so dirty, maybe this soldier liked white better. Why? there is not always an answer:P

so half half is good. And on the distance you play airsoft (I play airsoft too so i know what im talking about) camo makes almost no sence.

(btw I have to tell Tao is right, we need some allied stuff now :P )

Would be really cool if most of the playermodels had some stubble.
