on the Picture you can see a  Bunker that Looks like an normal house but behind the fake door is a at gun hidden (5 cm maybe) it was part of the Westwall devensive in 1940 and was reactivated in late 1944

maybe you can use this Information to create a new defensive Position (maybe with a movable door for surprise attacks)

What for? It would only surprise  people for the first time... Besides we already have AT gun positions hidden inside ruined buildings...
This sentence is intentionally left unfinished...

In what village is that house? Cause afaik Hurtgen Forest and (to a lesser extent) Vossenack are close to 1:1 representations of the area.

its located in steinfeld
and the battle for steinfeld was from 20-23rd march of 1945
i dont knew that the map was so worked out so this could maybe be used for new maps then

It sounds and looks good, but after some time, regular players would just remember where the concealed gun was, and would just avoid it. Same issue with stationary AA and AT guns.

sure but this gun is positioned to fire down the mainroad of steinfeld so the infantry have to move left or right of the gun and in these sections they could be facing some machine guns  or etc.

every stationary gun can be dangerous if the field of fire is good
and every stationary gun reduces the moving of the enemy
just like the at gun at railway on goodwood - this gun can block the whole right side of the map is the gunner is a good one

but I noticed that the most at guns and machineguns are not in good positions to be dangerous
I don't like these movable at guns either...

and even the stationary guns are not even camouflaged between bushes or other stuff - only a sandbackwall is available sometimes

the artillery for example could be also positioned under trees

specialy on maps were airplanes are available should be have Defensive positions that are well camouflaged against air view
not like totalize where the artillery battery  flag is positioned on a blank hilltop with only a hedgerow on the wrong side...

that's a thing that im really missing
I mean the only camouflage that I can see is a guy who sits behind a bocage with a  bazooka...

Too much concealment of MGs and AT guns would turn most maps into Omaha Beach IMO.
Remember there is no revive option or much suppression like that other mod.  Fh2 players need a chance to take out or avoid these weapons.

and? its much better than the situation that we face on totalize sometimes
when a single infantry man can run thru our lines with getting seen and can capture flags behind the front

and it wouldn't be so bad to make the maps a much more dangerous place for the attackers - maybe just only some defensive areas infront of the flag/villages
the they would have to work together to break a simple machine gun position which covers a whole field maybe

then they maybe could stop running around like headless chicken

and btw: every position is breakable
from a bullet of a single sniper to a simple combination of smoke and hand grenades or a simple spot from a spotter for mortar fire...

and Omaha beach showed that this is possible - the only difference is that the defence positions can be seen very well

and surely the positions will be known when every player has played on the other side
just the attacking will be  much more difficult that's all :)
