Title: How Did You Find Out About FH1/2?
Post by: azreal on 07-12-2010, 17:12:24
Curiosity has gotten the best of me once again.

We were all new at one point. How did everyone find out about this mod? If you played both FH1 and FH2, state how you discovered both mods. Thank you.

EDIT: if you can remember where, please try and specifically state which website you found the mod on.

FH1: Some site had info about bunch of unreleased BF42 mods. Spotted FH --> it looked interesting --> followed it until it was released and downloaded it.

FH2: Well, the FH forums.

FH2: Found it listed (I think) on battlefieldsingleplayer.com, while looking for mods with SP (at the time I thought my account had been banned ::) ).

Flippy and I frequent the same private forum, where he constantly nagged me about not playing FH2, until I finally gave in around September '08. Together, we then proceeded to brainwash Auwin to join our glorious cause.

There is still another potential recruit there but he seems to be a hard nut to crack. Maybe we'll just have to "force-feed" him: snail-mail him BF2 along with two DVD-R's containing the updates and latest version of FH2 ;D

I once borrowed my friends bf2 since he wasn't playing it much anymore. I played vanilla bf2 few weeks, until I remembered that my friend used to play alot fh1 some time ago. Little google session and I found out there is fh2 out already (was 2.1). I downloaded it, amazed how awesome it is and bought my own copy of bf2 just to play fh2. My friend started playing fh2 too. Few months later I got myself own computer and as my brother wasn't able to play on my account anymore, he bought bf2 again just for fh2.

We also managed to brainwash one more friend to buy bf2 to play fh2 with us  :).

I think it was the BF1942 Realism mod (probably found on moddb or similar site)...went looking for similar type mods and found FH.  Knew that FH2 was coming but sorta got out of FPS games until last year when I bought BF2 specifically to try FH2.

FH1: well, *cough* (grandpa sits straight in his chair and start to tell), back in the days I was in a clan. We played BF1942 in the clanbase Euro ladder. Sewveral of the guys played Desert Combat, but that didn;t interest me. One guy played FH and showed me the site etc. I downloaded the mod and played it with him. I remember him saying over TS that "In FH when a Tiger comes around the corner you really shit your pants", thus comparing FH to Bf42 vanilla of course ;) I think it was around 0.5 or something like that, I really don't recall the exact patch number.

After FH1 petered out, I took a break, the clan went on into BF2, but after a short while we lost almost all members and I lost interest too.

Then, a few years later, I remembered FH and went to the site to check it out. FH2 was in its early development stage and since I couldn't download anything to play, I forgot about the mod for another few years. Then I revisited the site (I don't know what made me, a different game, or a movie, or a documentary, not sure) and saw that 2.1 was out already. DL and play!

So: first heard about it in my clan, then went back in later because I knew about the mod already.

After I play the bf1942 multiplayer demo (1 month before bf1942 release), I searched for some mod. I saw EOD and after that I saw FH1. At the time, the mod was supposed to be about the first battle of ww2 with poland and french and senordingdong was the modleader.

I recall going to some Battlefield 1942 website, looking for more maps or patches for vanilla, and I discovered 'the real plane mod', then later battlegroup mod - And I was so amazed by its evolution-of-war-vehicles-during WW2-approach, that I kept looking for later version of it and more content.... And I stumbled across Fh1... Possibly, because at the time (Or shortly before), the 2 mods were somehow in some relationship....

Once I installed FH0.66, I didn't need another mod. And I couldn't bear Vanilla gameplay anymore

I got active on the forum, asking for eveerything, wondering about everything (Not much has changed since it would seem), then I begun getting the info that the mod was moving to Battlefield 2. By this time I had BF2 vanilla, so I just kept up with the development until it came out... By following updates from 2006 till 2007 when Fh2 finally came out, I became a regular on the forum. And was overwhelmed by Fh2.0, I almost couldn't go back to Fh1...

Almost... Then 2.2 came out, and from then on, my home-made FH1 dvds lie dusty

I cant recall the year anymore but I had been playing bf1942 for a few months. It was the first FPS I had ever played online, and I was pretty much in love with it. At that point I started lurking the planetbattlefield forums and thats where I found out what mods are and how they basically were  more content for free. I downloaded FH1 among other mods (desert combat, battlegroup, pirates....) which at that point was in its early stages, I recall especially enjoying the fact it was mostly based on rifle combat.  At one point the mod got too much for my computer to handle and I quit playing it for a year or two. Then, after getting a new computer, I remembered the mod again and decided to try it out. There had been numerous releases and I found it even more fun than I remembered. The fact there was no lag on my new PC also helped :). At that point FH1 became my number one game, for years. I got pretty good at it, was asked to join a clan by some lafette freak, had some good times there as well.

Then came the last release of FH1, (a pretty amazing release IIRC) and I started waiting for FH2 with everyone else. Hell, I remember I even draw a picture of the pre-FH2-release-community at one point, it got put on the fridge and everything.

The rest is history.. about 100 years from now.

FH1:
I was a regular at the MFOTS Battle For Europe: Day of Defeat tournament, but it was getting dull and repetitive.  In 2004 I had a look at BFE: WaW and subsequently discovered that with FH, BF1942 no longer looked and played like a cheap cartoon ... a wasted purchase was rescued from the reject pile.

FH2:
I was a tester for FH1 and moving on to FH2 was the sole reason for my DC2 BF2 purchase.  My brief vanilla time was clocked up trying out and comparing various game elements.  If it wasn't for FH2 I would never have bothered with it.

Looking for BF1942 custom maps at BF1942files website. Then i struck at FH2 custom maps, which shows awesome custom vehicles such as Pz V Panther tanks. Traced it downloaded it (FH 0.67). Registered at Filefront forum around 2005 and started junking all around.

FH made me into WW2 geeks, now i know tanks, even down to its variants and shell types, uniform colors, issuance years, etc and things that I thought impossible to learn and remember one-by-one. Thanks to you guys. That caused me to want moar and moar stuff, FH was slow to develop, then I came into this game, Blitzkrieg, i was so into it that I left FH. Moreover, my PC couldn't rig BF2 smoothly, and their decision to stop FH1 at 0.7 saddened me.

But then after I bought new PC around 2007, this one can run BF2 nicely. I decided to come back to FH and it is on its way to 2.15. I reinstall my BF2 and d-led FH2. Re-register at Warumdarum around 2008.

FH1:
Bought a new PC in 2003 around the time when BF1942 came out, and I was hooked for months. I'm the kind of gamer that never really looks beyond games so to speak (to see what does and doesn't work), I just take a game for what it is and go along. And I loved BF1942 for what it was, despite it's simplified battles and hardware.
Then in 2004 when my nerdy IT friends showed me the concept of mods and what was being made for BF, a whole new world opened up for me. First was Desert Combat I think, followed by FH1, Eve Of Destruction and that Star Wars mod I keep forgetting the name of. But the SW mod went no where and out of my friends I was the only one who really was into the whole WWII era, while they were more like "dude, you can fly Apaches and MiG 29's in Desert Combat, why bother with those oldfashioned prop planes?"
Eve Of Destruction somehow got lost in the storm (and replaced by BF:Vietnam) and I basically played FH1 for years. It's funny that it is at least 3 years since I've played it last, but it feels like last month. Can still easily visualize the levels and the epic experiences. Pity that when BF2 came out the FH population began to dwindle to the point where I couldn't find any populated servers anymore.

FH2:
When BF2 came out I still had the same PC so I couldn't play it, or the early FH2 version. A friend of mine who played a lot of vanilla BF2 installed it but he didn't like the hardcore-ness of it all. He was more into Desert Combat at the time, so BF2 was enough. But I liked that first glimpse of FH2 (Alam Halfa was the first map I played) but I at first hated how slow it was and unforgiving it was. Not the overall game, but how slow the movements were. When running it felt like you were running through mud, and you could only run short distances. Flying bummed my out too, at first, because of the wonky cockpit view.
But around 2007 I got a new PC that could sort of run BF2 and since then I've played nothing else and gotten completely used to the different game dynamics of the BF2 engine.

I don't keep track of different versions (or the big changes made within), but I like that FH has become more beautiful with every new update. For a game that's basically 5 years old, it's amazing. FH dev's, I salute you!

Played BF1942 Demo and then BF1942 for ages, then got a little bored and looked for something to spice things up. found Desert combat and soon after the even better DCX (Desert Combat Extended) and played DCX for quite a while.
hen tried out some other mods like Interstate  and battlegroud and soon after battlegroup i found FH.  could have been around the 0.5 or 0.6 release i am not really sure.

i still played lots of other mods like "Silent Heroes" (epic sweden vs norway action) and Galactic conquest (starwars mod) but it didnt take me long to settle for FH. Soon after i joined toddels and today other devs clan. the green devils / grĂ¼ne teufel. I never really played that much in the leagues and competetive play but since then i am devotet to FH and when FH2 was about to get going it was a natural step become a beta-tester asap.

i played BF2 demo a little and soon after release i played the "extended" demo on "special servers" but only when i became beta-tester i actually bought the damn game. in total my hours played BF2 vanilla should not exceed 1 digit numbers. i tried Pr but never really got into the "forced" realism and the long walks of the game. so i simply kept playing fh.

Saw a news post a long time ago on planetbattlefield about a new mod coming out for BF1942 with new maps, new weapons and now vehicles. Decided to put it on my watch list while i played DC. Then when it came out i downloaded it and started playing for a few hours every weekend. And so it has been ever since. Only the last 2 years i decided to stop lurking and start posting on the forums here.

Ok, let me ask you all this. What would be the best way to reach out to new players? It seems we have a mix of people who found out about FH from 1. websites; 2. friends; 3. other sources (magazines, other mods, ect.).

Approaching the "hardcore" BF2 community 5+ after the release of the game might not work, those are the folks that play Karkand 24/7 and are not likely to change their habits before moving on to BF3. IMO you need to find "new" people who are interested in WW2 games instead.

I would suggest that you actively approach gaming magazines and/or websites and try to get them interested in running a story/feature/review about FH2 (this might will require several tries with preferably a new version each time). At least the logal gaming mag Pelit sometimes features mods alongside commercial games - the omnipresent PR, Fall from Heaven, and Ultima V: Lazarus come to mind as recent examples that got full-size reviews instead of just little featurettes only.

Hard to remember as I was like 11 back then. I probably saw it in a newspost in bf42.com. My first memory of the game is running in the desert in el alamein shooting bots with an mg34.

Same here. Gaming Networks aka bf42.de. It is looki.de these days. Don't bother looking it up. We had fun back in the days spamming comments at the news posts with nerd request, annoying Armin Ace to death.

I had me dragged in by a friend. He asked me if I liked WW2, and asked me if I would be willing to download a great mod. THat was back at FH2 2.0 I think.

I played/installed FH 0.7 just to try it out but didn't like it cause of the BF42 engine. BUt well made and lots of stuff.

After playing battlegroup 42 coop with a mate on lan a couple of months ago I was looking for it again. I stumbled uppon the FHT addon wich featured the duthc. The FHT addon really appealed to me since it had the dutch in em wich was and still is verry uncommon for ww2 shooters (basicly after this addon I didnt bother looking for more). Having to go to their website to get it and seeing they started an campaign around the battles in Norway and Finland. I immidiatly joined in half oktober couple of years ago few months before fh2 came out. Because I had never fought a ww2 battle in Norway or Finland. I always had a weak for the periods during ww2 that are scarcely depicted by pc games. Unfortunatly this campaign ended prematurly after fh2 was released. The best battle of that campaign for me was the battle centered around the Oslo fortress that we germans had to storm and capture. After the first battle I visited the official fh site for the first time. Immidiatly went trough all the data on the site like vehicles section and weapons section and just seeing how much stuff was actually in it. Poland, early france etc I was astonished. Since then I have always kept a keen eye on forgotten hope develepments and the FHT tournament. Since then it has been a big source for ww2 knowledge in all cinds of areas and I started to activly search information about ww2 on my own. Together with the Europabarbarorum mod for RTW it has been the best mod I have ever played so far (and that I have sticked to as long as I had knowledge about it). Thanks for all the hard work and dedication guys really appreciated. Keep up the good work.

Google : bf2 WW2 mod.

Fall on FH2, "I think it was this one", download, install, play.

See that there's people playing online, ok that's not BGF, but its better  ;D

Cool, I had completely missed that awesome FH2.2 Axis teaser last year! Never seen it before. Thanks. :)
But reading through that whole post the following made me wonder what happened to the British landingcraft. Did I miss something, or are both the British and the American version on Point du Hoc?

11 New British vehicles, including:
Cromwell Mk. IV
Churchill Mk. IV
Sherman VC 'Firefly'
Hawker Typhoon Mk. I B
LCA 'Landing Craft Assault'

Back then I was following Operation Overlord mod for BF42 and FH was just "that other ww2 mod" which seemed to hog all the attention. Basically I came across FH just because the guys over at OpOv posted links to FH and talked about it. Well, Overlord didnt get anywhere unfortunately and I thought I'd give FH a bash in 2003. Well, I liked the mod and since I already had an account on filefront forums, I started being active in FH section and played FH until I got recruited as a tester for FH2 way before 2.0 came out.

BF1942 was my first FPS game, I got it and played it for a few months until I found out about these magical things called 'mods'.  I couldn't get enough.  I got TurboMod first because it sounded (and was) completely badass.  I played Battlegroup 42, Battlefield 1918 and Operation Merciless and a whole bunch of other mods (codename: eagle never worked for me :( ) and my appetite was sated for a few more months.  Then I noticed one day that there was a new mod in the list on FileShack-Forgotten Hope.  I liked the new vehicles and maps, and downloaded each subsequent version until 0.7.
I played that on and off until 2005 when Battlefield 2 came out.  The night I got it I couldn't sleep (I was 10) and I played that game like nobody's business for a few weeks.  Soon, I got tired of it.  I decided to check out FileShack for any mods.  Forgotten Hope wasn't there, and I got hooked on other mods.  Forgotten Hope became that one great game I sometimes play when I get bored of Axis & Allies, Battlefield: Vietnam, Battlefield 2, or the First Call of Duty.  WWII was the centre of my focus, my interest in history actually stems from BF1942 and Forgotten Hope.
The same year FH2 came out, I got back into BF2.  I checked the mod list again in FileShack, and I found that which I had once forgot and stored on an old bookshelf in my mind-I saw Forgotten Hope 2 in that list, not but a month old. I've been playing it off and on even since, and decided to get involved in the forums in early 2009.

So all of you can blame WalMart for stocking Battlefield 1942 for getting me into this.

In 2002/2003 I played BF1942 at the local computerstore with schoolmates, epic moments on LAN. In late 2003 I got my own copy of BF1942 and started playing at home, just singleplayer as I had no idea what patches where in those days.

In 2005 I finally downloaded patches and started playing online, the icons in front of server names made me curious, what where these strange modern warfare helmets and silver FH logos? After reading every servername with a different icon I found out about mods, I have always been a history person and FH took my interest, just looking at those screenshots made me dream away, so much content, so beautiful!

However in those days our internet was still very low standard and FH was pretty large so I never downloaded it untill 2006 or early 2007 when I was a server admin on BF1942 for a small clan. However that clan fell apart and I was bored and remembered FH, that was the year I first played it.

Because I was a fan already I kept checking the site and followed every FH2 update there was and on that holy day in December 2007 when it was released I first played FH2 as many others did.

Soon after I joined the FileFront forums in spring 2008 and then got another level up as betatester in summer 2009. And not to forget those great years with the 130th.

General fuss in the interweb and MOTY ofc got my interest.

Got Bf2 a few weeks after I got my PC in 2007, played it for quite some time online to rank up and shit. Then I discovered the things called "mods" and downloaded "modjive", through that I downloaded OPK first, then AIX. I still wasn't pleasured with these and tried BGF, as my interest for WW2 was pretty big already. Being impressed by that I tried to download FH2 via modjive but the installer was broken, so I never really got to play it. After a few more months of vanilla and AIX I decided to download FH2 again and checked it out, I was truly amazed and played it for some time, then came PR and then FH2 again. I had some breaks with FH2 due to RL things, but I'm trying to get back into it right now.

FH2: I followed the mods development since FH 0.5

I bought the Battlefield 1942 world war II antology and played quite some hours the vanilla game.

Then I started to search the internet for BF42 mods and found the site BF-games.net

There I found the link to the version 0.7 which was at that time not new anymore.

When I discowered the homepage, I saw the mod already exists for BF2 with the version number 2.10

I decided to buy BF2 to play your mod and thats it...

Same story as everyone else. Played 1942 around 2007 after ordering it from best buy using a giftcard I got for christmas that year. Then found out about mods while looking for patches. Tried out every mod that ever existed, then tried fh1. Fh1 took a shit on vista then walked out the door and never managed to work. Around 2009 (...?) I found fh2. I joined the forums immedietly because bf2 also took a shit on vista and walked out the door and I would have multiple problems trying to get it installed, or to play for that matter. Around late 2009 I got a new desktop for my birthday. After installing all the mumbo jumbo, FH2 was the first thing I installed. I managed just in time to play fh2 several days after 2.2. Fast forward 2 years and here I am

I started to play FH2 2-3 years ago i think. Dont remember the version, but it was only africa maps at least. I was informed of this mod by a friend. I think i saw FH1 mentioned somewhere at some forum or something ages ago, but i was stupid enough to not check it out.

Bought BF1942 years ago. Asked myself why i couldnt play maps like Berlin Streets and stuff (0.7 was released) and checkd FH website. By then, i saw Lancasters, Tiger IIs and stuff, i started searching in every corner of every BF1942 maps for these vehicles, none was found.

Then afte a big ass headache, i found this little "Download" Button, Dled it and had the best moments of my life with FH.

Then joined the forums, i remember my first post was about the Falklands :>, i was an idiot back then oh.
First i tought FH2 was going to be made on FH1, but this time with super graphics and stuff. Then i found it was going to be for Battlefield 2. Got battlefield 2, waited for FH2, then it was PR. FH2 just got released and i got into it.

Since then well, here, hello!. I dont play FH2 that much tho, 1. Because my public version folder was deleted by me, and the only version of FH2 i have is the one i use for betatesting, wich is broken >:

2. Because i dont have much time D:

Was playing BF1942 online. Some guy kept bitching about how bland the game felt, and another guy asked him to check out "FH". I asked him what is stood for, and he said "Forgotten Hope. It's a mod". And that's how I found out about it.

I got a copy of battlefield 1942, first i was amased that you could fight on land sea air with all those vehicles.
after playing coop for a while i started to notice the lack of vehicle diveristy, and i knew something about ww2 vehicles. so i started to search for ww2 mods with more vehicles. that mod turned out to be fh1. back then it was version 0.5 i think.

I fell in love with the mod and it made me buy the game to play fh online. and so i did for the next 7 years. last year the game, to my opinion bleed to death. it was sad and i had a hard time to say farewell.
so i moved on to fh2. when it was released i had to buy bf2. i dont play bf2, only fh2  ;D

A few years back I played BG42 for a while, then the new patch made it unplayable for me (my rig sucked then). I actually stumbled upon FH a while before that, but had always thought I wouldn't be able to run it properly... Years passed and I almost forgot about BF 1942... Then one day I reinstalled it and remembered FH, so I downloaded it and to my surprise it worked! Wasn't really nice looking, but it worked! I was stalking this forum for a while then, and always wondered how does FH2 look like? So I decided to buy a new rig, and BF2 and try it out... And I must say it's great!

2008? I stopped playing BF42 online (which wasn't much), heard about the Operation Desert Storm (?) mod for the BF. While looking for it, I saw a link that said Forgotten Hope, and had a PzIII pic with it. Since I grew tired of all the PzIV+Tiger vs Sherman+M10 I checked it out. From the awesome camo-pattern site I discovered the weapons/vehicles link. WHOAH. That shit had everything. It was immediatelly in my head that I should tell Bffan about it, and he downloaded it, and we tried it out. Then I started to play with him, my nick: Master Chief. FH1 was the best. It still is the best but Bffan got me to play FH2 and join the forum. My first topic was about the Panther G and its gun mantle. I know I pissed Mudra off, lol. Now I'm smarter and I miss FH1...

Got bored of Desert Combat after a while and BF Pirates servers were full only during weekends so I went and checked if there were any other mods. I saw FH had released new version, one of the early versions probably the second release. Had seen it before and wasn't interested as I thought I had no need for it as it looked much like normal BF42. Still I downloaded it out of boredom, went to their website and checked what was new about the mod. Then I saw it had loads of new maps, vehicles and weapons so I got really interested about it after all.

But what really got me into it after I played it was the flight physics they were so awesome, sadly can't say the same about FH2. :(

I became good friends with Josh094 around the schoolyard and i'd recently bought Fh2 went round his house and played el-alamein and it was love at first sight.

Ive battled with the highs and low's of overkill and shader problems with the utmost respect for the game ever since. Its not a download, it's a living thing.

My mate and his stepdad loved BF1942, and when I first started playing they had been playing for a few years already, and practically beat off to FH1.

Fast Forward a few years, add a bit of obsession with WWII and the weapons thereof, and BAM, I need myself a WWII mod for BF2. Really, all I wanted to do was play with the Karabiner 98 Kurz, but eh, mods are fun right?

Remembering all the hype my mate had for FH1, I figured the FH team would might have something up its sleeve. Lo and Behold, I was correct. Just annoying that I haven't had a chance to play it properly til about now lol

Played Battlefield 2 and someone complaied how unrealistic it was, and the answer was go play Project reality or Forgotten Hope. So after reading a bit I tried FH2 and was stunned by its realism. Lucky me to see that conversation.

Found it listed on ModDB, but didn't have Battlefield 2 at the time, in fact, I bought Battlefield 2 (albeit on Steam) for the sole purpose of playing FH2. ;D

When I was discussing about bf1942 in a gamestore and how I pwned in it, a guy told me to try FH that "the planes are very heavy".

Then a large portion of my lifetime is devoted to FH gaming. I even looked up the codes of the files and know almost every single vehicles/weapons in the game (and how they worked... etc).

Seriously, I hate that guy!  :P

Anyway, great mod I must say.

FH2: Was looking about on Steam for Battlefield 1942, could only find BC2 and BF2. Decided to check out BF2. Went to YouTube to see gameplay, saw FH2, looked awesome, stared at the site till I got BF2 from a friend. Glued to FH2 eversince.

FH1: Looking to see if FH *2* was just a name to go with being part of BF2 or the prequel possibility.

Through a friend - we were keen BF1942 players in a clan, and discovered FH1 during beta stage many years ago.

I played FH1 until I got a new PC this year, with Windows 7, and have not had the time to research how to get it working :/

Best game I ever played, FH1, being a history/archaeology graduate and having done much WW2 research in my days.

I just knew the Vanilla BF1942, and in that time i did not know the existence of "mods" and their meaning, but years later already with Battlefield 2, I discovered the existence of mods and searching for a good mod i saw FH2 ,I not downloaded the mod right in the first time because i was afraid of size of the mod , later i bought a better internet and finally downloaded FH2

Battlefield 1942 was my first own bought game. I played it for a while, mostly in Coop or singleplayer, because I had no internet connection. On a LAN party I downloaded FH 0.7 and couldn't stop to play it in coop with my mates.

After getting BF2 I was still forced to play in coop, but searched for FH2 and found a trailer on youtube. Then I followed the progress of the mod until today, always waiting for updates and new content. Especialy the coop was much more improved since the first days, and sometimes I still like it to play a round against bots - without any freaks, who are better than me and who can be sometimes quiet annoying.  ;D

But now, you can find me mostly on the FH2 servers and sometimes I join the Pixelfighter-server for a round of good old FH 0.7 - a game, where games were played because of fun and not because you wanted to had good stats.

i started playing fh1 after looking up mods for bf because i thought that bf secret weapons was a waste of $$, road to rome was better. so i joined the 51st pnzr server and thats where it all started for me, back when tdp was still the biggest fh1 gaming site and fh2 hadnt been thought of yet.
so yeah around fh version  0.4 ;D

FH1: Besides a demo for Delta Force, bf1942 was my first FPS, and I played it non-stop to the point my parents became concerned. At some point, a year or two down the line IIRC, I finally got tired of all these full servers I couldnt access and looked into it (I barely knew anything about computers and gaming at 13). I found the main perpetrator, Desert Combat, and played that for a while, and then found the wonderful Pirates and legendary Galactic Conquest. I couldnt get enough. I couldnt believe that there was all this content available for free, and all these wonderful communities (well never got into DC), and all I had to do was install it. During my initial searches, I passed Forgotten Hope on the list beside BF1918, but wasnt too interested in all the early war stuff since I wanted a change from WWII. After a bit more time I looked around some more and stumbled across FH again. It was an update showing off the Valentine, and I think depth charges and transport ships. I was floored. The tanks with all their attention to detail, the addition of something so small as a launcher for depth charges, and the mesmerizing idea of a map that had transport convoys (in my head). I downloaded, and never looked back.

FH2: I played FH1 from sometime around the .66 release until..well I guess now. I found out about FH2 at the first news post about it. :)

Signed up for the latest WaW (World at War - http://www.bfewaw.com (http://www.bfewaw.com)) tournament and FH2 was the mod they used for bf2.

I'm glad this WW2 mod exists and still has players. I cannot stand all this modern warfare stuff. I like my prop planes and hate all the laser-guided, missile cam, etc... stuff.
