Beautiful gun. Going to sit on it for 5-10 years then sell it on. Also Attempted re-finishing the stock on my mosin (38c) only about half done. Fun stuff but quite tricky.

Also, Theta, why would the "westren public" be any less used to "bad endings"?

Its very much more "Russian Culture" sort of deal with very gloomy and bleak story's like this. Goes quite a long way back too, makes for a hell of a lot more engaging material too.

Loved the first game, enjoyed the book so much more that I kinda feel the game lets down the book in a lot of places. But still a big favorite. Not quite sure what last light is going to be like, this is going to be more like the first one but we will have to see.

Yeah agree. They are pretty much different games if you just play mods or comp stomp all day long.

I kinda wish they had kept more stuff from DoW2 a bit though (being able to que up reinforcements, some form of mele) although obviously not much would have fitted CoH.

Seems like a pretty soild game so far, not that much changed and performance is a bit dodgy but any CoH fan will feel at home.

AI planes used to just disappear in mp, engine and gun sounds were not great and out-of-sync with the visuals. Performance was bad, the UI very hard to use in MP and just generally feels buggy and unfinished. Sure you can fly around in it and have a dogfight but its no where near the level of polish the old Il2 had and thats saying something...

Supposedly they are working with the guys that make Rise of Flight making a new game right now anyhow so I doubt it will ever be finalized which is so sad because with the clickable cockpits with so much detail it could EASILY been one of the best sims ever.

If you are still looking for content I suggest asking Harry if you can use some of his ww1 models.

All are untextured, although I made a skin for the chauchat a while ago.

England at 61%....Not surprised.  Despite popular media these guys have never been our friends

Most likely the approval rating is in the 60's due to aftermath of the Bush years. Especially how unpopular Iraq was here.

Anyhow your post is just dripping with condescension, as if everyone owes you something.

updating link

That is the lightning, I did the lods but did not have time to finish the whole export scene.

Also I can give you the VIS, it has been uv mapped but no texture.

Having a speadsheet/design document that is open would also help if people want to chip in with getting some tasks done.

Right I am really low on time at the moment, I have a lot of work I need to finish up but I dont want to leave you hanging so I will upload the textures and mesh so if anyone wants to they can continue it.

I threw down some bases, only really left to do would be add the lightning bolts to the stock and detail the bolt.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23842835/blskv1.png
(the missing triangle on the bolt has been fixed)

That is where I got to with it, I will upload the .psd's with the scene when I finish the export (nearly done, just baking out a 3p mesh) so if anyone wants to make edits/finish it they are free to.

As for the VIS, I might still have it somewhere but I am not sure. If I find it you can use it.

If you enjoyed maps like DC No fly zone etc you should enjoy Rhino's map :)
