I'll bite.

From Loppusota, June -09 (The big ass exercise we hold 2x a year)
(FYI that was the best exercise ever - warm and sunny in the western Finnish countryside, we moved every 2-4 days, and my only job was to drive the Pasi and help out with the camo. Other than that I just slept until 11am, had lunch, went into the cabin to watch movies or play games on my laptop & maybe walk around a bit, have dinner at 6pm, then back into the cabin, then to bed at around midnight. Best summer vacation ever where I get to drive a 20-ton APC & wield a gun)

Unloading a train:

Driving to the holding area:

Next day, waiting for our turn to leave:

How to camouflage a command post:

How not not camouflage a truck:

I've got tons more that I can share. I was a truck driver for the first 6 months & a XA-200 (Pasi) driver for the next 6 months.

It's half naked people on boats. That's all.
Here in Finland we call that "summer".

Been in the German Army for 23 months and now I´m a reservist. Was actually an S1 clerk in a MP company, so pretty much a POG, but still got to do some cool stuff.
Here´s my first impression of basic training, that´s still following me:

Yeah, that´s how my feet looked like after the first field day. New boots and new socks resulted in two blood blisters on my heels. Still have those scars..

Goofing around with an old NVA gas mask. Our company supply NCO was an old salty SNCO who began his career in the East German NVA. This mask was one of his few souvenirs and when he wasn´t in his office it was the source of lots of fun.

Of course I did serious stuff, too.

All in all a pretty good time. Still miss it sometimes, even though being a university student is way more relaxed.

Paasky, post some more pics of those Pasis. ;)
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

Been in the army for 10 months now and I'm currently serving as a communications NCO in a mine clearing engineer company. This past month has been quite heavy, we've had 2 field exercises (one 5-days and one 4-day exercise) and this week we had a 50km march. I went almost 40 hours without sleeping during those two days. And we have another 5-day exercise coming next week.

So far I've had good times and bad times during my service. The funny thing is that if you think about those bad times with your service mates, it just makes you laugh and you just think 'nah, it wasn't that bad'. You think with your friends things like 'remember when it rained the whole 5 days we were on the field? It was quite fun actually' or 'How about that time when we stood 12 hours outside when it was -30 degrees? I can't even remember the cold anymore'. Even the march feels nice when you think about it now.

I don't regret it at all that I'm serving a full year and getting the full experience.

Well... I would not like to take the gas mask test with a beard... ;D

That .50 cal, yeah, I had to carry one. Not the lightest of weapons.

I was in the Guard's Jäger Regiment, 1st Jäger Company. We got all the tacticool stuff.

Night vision ACOG was nisty as hell, but sadly it was too tacticool for normal guard's jägers ;)

Didn´t have such a tacti-cool, high-speed-lo-drag weapon, but the MP7 is quite cool, as well. ;)

And another cool one I found:

I just love shooting with pistols!

i actually passed the gasmask test with my beard O.o Avon S10 mask. using CS tablets.

my weapons is a H&K416 N, some have the D, but that is a marking failure from H&K.

my position is Force Protection, guard duty and so on of the camp and objectives, so we might allso get Glock 17! ^^ or 18 or something. allong with allot of the Jeger equipment :) mostly clothing.
