Your favorite maps in 2.2?
« on: 06-09-2009, 15:09:36 »
Hi guys,

I am really surprised about the richness of details in the new maps. Beautiful normandy landscape, realistic cities, good melee fights, so much new house structures, so many many trees...

On many maps tanks arent anymore the overpower factor of all (like in the desert), infantry is again the queen of the battlefield (finally with piat etc) ...

   Lebisey

   Operation Goodwood

   Operation Luttich

   Operation Totalize

   Pointe du Hoc (omaha-like)

   Purple Heart Lane

Well, about the tanks in Normandy. They can do great alone but they need support from infantry in order to survive long enough and get stuff done properly. But all in all, yeah, the tanks are easy prey for tank hunters. Unlike in Africa in which the tanks do not require infantry support as much in order to survive and make a great effect against the enemy.

But to the point - I like them all in a way. But I guess my favorite is Goodwood, followed by Lebisey and Falaise Pocket.
