Landing Gear Issue

Whenever I am landing I always have to wait for my landing gear to open (except for planes with fixed landing gear of course). So if it doesn't open I have to either crash or pull up then crash. So I am asking there to be a button that I can press when I am landing along with the auto oneIf I had this then I could make more realistic landings unlike these coming in going 20km/hour then stoping after a couple of meters.

A lot of the problems with landing gear not coming out in time (think hurricane...) have been fixed for the next patch

I can land the Hurricane on El-Alamein perfectly fine. The Issue I have are the airfields. I nearly never landed the Hurricane safely on Gazala. The field has some hills and I can´t land there.

Further the German airfield on Mareth still doesn´t repair your aircraft (and I tried to drive my aircraft to its spawn).

I am not saying this happens all the time but sometimes it happens and when it does it really sucks I also would like to land fighters the same way I land my stuka. It doesn't seem to me that hard to fix so that is why I mentioned it.

Landing gear is a real pain for me... when I'm flying it just auto deploys in the middle of a dogfight but never when I actually need to land so I usually die a good 10 times a round because of this alone. As far as actually landing goes, when it comes to Spitfires a little nosedip is unavoidable as this was a problem with the plane IRL, its happened a few times to me in game.

I'm for this, manual landing gear deployment.

That would be cause it is controlled by the planes speed.

That is what i thought so you can't land the way I like to when driving a Stuka

i do hope that manual landing gear control is possible.

but i can see already how this change would result in lots of crashes at first due to people forgetting to deploy their landing gear

I wonder about manual landing gear control being impossible.

We can manually open/close doors/flatbed panels on trucks and the LCA's ramp, and those are part of the vehicles' model, with collision involved.

Something could be done for landing gears. Maybe.

I can do it but the auto landing gear is just a pain that you have wait for while landing

i think its only a problem on the hurricane and mybe the spit
but on the other planes it comes out in time for me.
on the thyphoone its stays out after starting, until u get into a dive...

It's just the Hurricane for me, though Gazala airstrip is disastrous for UK air.

Though, I have noticed that Mareth doesn't repair. Tried with BF109 and Stuka, rearms bombs but no repair?

Well, Hurricane and spitfire that never seem to open landing gear. No problem with US aircraft or German aircraft.

The plane with that auto-deploy LG problems are Hurricanes, Spitfires, and Typhoons. (yes all Brit).

The Hurricane almost never deploy its landing gear correctly when we wanted to land. But it stays retracted all the way when we are in the air, doing anything. Spitfire is about the same, so I land these planes like a VTOL jets. Fly low and slow, then see the gear deployed, hold the stick, and bump! Vertical landing.

The Typhoons however, always had its landing gear extended almost all of times, especially if you depress the throttle button for a while, even if the plane is still speeding. You need to really speed up to see the landing gear retracted.
