it is just amazing that FH2 devs are working for TW also. :-\

Aside couple of individuals, FH2 devs still dont work on TW. How hard is this to understand?

This beach landing map was brought to you by the work of Beregil and Schism.

Same man made Pointe Du Hoc, and you can clearly see it from the art style.

It appears GB could be a meat grinder like Pointe Du Hoc, but there are tanks!!

Minimap reminds me of an airel photo of GB but they dont show lakes...

 Great update!!

Very, apparently.

Question about the Churchill Crocodile, does that mean we're finally getting some proper 150mm armour?

VERY nice work Schism 8) Another quality FH2 map. I love the look of the beach, the swamps and transitions into the bocage beyond. It feels very real. I also like the crashed gliders.
I'm guessing this takes place like the old FH1 Gold Beach when the beachhead was semi established and the Brits have to establish positions inland?

Great Job devs, glad to see we're back on track :)

Correct. You have to fight your way through some fortified defences. The Churchill will be able to blast it's way through it and if I recollect correctly, the Germans have some counter measures to the Churchill.

Swamp area is very beautifully done, there will be some great fire fights.

Thats correct. The correct variant is the MK VII altough some MKIV's still survived in Normandy.

I really like the way the Atlantic wall is set up around that back flag. It seems like it's one of the only ways tanks can access that flag to support infantry. So you have the choice of destroying it and moving in or you can take that flag on its left flank and move in from behind down the road. (making random assumptions about gameplay from the minimap)

So happy to see a news update!! Was getting worried for a while there but the devs have let us know development is still alive and well.

Map looks AWESOME! As far as beach maps, I definitely preferred Gold Beach over Charlie Sector in FH1.

Thanks Devs!

Any particular history about this stretch of beach? Which British unit landed here etc. Are the defenses based on any of the Widerstandsnester which were in the area?

Looks like this is the area the map was modeled after: 49.344488,-0.540372

(Just paste those coordinates into Google maps)

Edit: Looks like Widerstandsnest 35, at least according to this pretty lousy map: http://www.atlantikwall.org.uk/general%20map%20gold.jpg

Anyone have additional info on WN 35?

The thing is Gold Beach is not a beach map since in FH1 you never fight on this beach at all lol.

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

Directly west of Ver sur Mer, literally right next to it.  SO I would say WN34

Looks fantastic, great attention to detail. Were those little pools there in real life? They look kinda odd to me anyway.
