Bug Reporting / Vickers tank LOD

I have noticed that one of the Vickers tank model has a faulty LOD. The turret is disattached from the main body of the tank. I think it could be easily solved even from meshviewer.

Suggestions / Bullets going through soft materials

I thought it would be nice to modify some materials (or colmeshes, don´t know exactly how this works) like wood from tables so that they would only be suitable for visual cover, not actual bullet stopping cover.

I wonder if this is actually possible (I´m pretty sure it is) and if it would be too much work to modify this, at least in the long term?

Join us this Saturday 15th December at 18:00 UTC and fight in the streets of Berlin for the second time! Help us test this map to get the right balance and gameplay sorted out. Once this has been tested then it will be time to finish the map with final textures and lightmaps.

It is a sector push map. The Germans start with no tanks. As sectors become captured by the Russians, additional tanks will spawn on both sides. Russian tank spawn locations are moved forward each time a new sector is captured to prevent long drivings from the main base to the frontlines. It is all setup for an action-packed experience but yet enough flanking possibilities and tactics to be applied

Battle for Berlin was the final major offensive of the European theatre of World War II  led by the soviets. Their Red army had temporarily been stopped 60km to the east of Berlin. On 9 March, Germans established its defence plan for the city, called Operation Clausewitz. On 16 April, two soviet armies attacked Berlin from the east to the south, as a third one attacked north of Berlin. Berlin was then encircled by 2,500,000 soldiers better prepared and equipped this time, against some disorganized divisions of  Wehrmacht and SS, together with Volkssturm and Hitler Youth, who were not really trained. The rest is history, but still skirmishes were going to be house-to-house fighting

Hi, since the new patch is out the MG42´s mounted on vehicles like Panther G and halftrack in Ogledow don´t work properly when you press right mouse button. Besides of zooming-in the gun fires an almost silent single shot.

Community Polls / Transports showing in mini-map

Using a transport vehicle like a truck or a jeep and parking it close to an enemy position is a worthless strategy because the vehicle will appear in the enemy´s mini-map and thus the attack becomes visible, the surprise element is lost.

Bug Reporting / CTD on map loading

It has been happening rather frequently now. Once it starts crashing, no matter how many times I try to load the map it will CTD. From what I read, many other players are having the same issue. It´s been happening in the CMP server so far, I haven´t crashed trying to load on 762. Could it be a server problem?

Bug Reporting / Panther rear MG

I spawned on my SL with MG42 kit in a Panther A (I think) in the rear MG position. The soldier´s hands and MG showed up as I moved around the tank´s MG.

Modding / Berlin

Hello!

I started to learn how to map about 2 weeks ago, now I kicked off with a Berlin map. It´s in its very early stages.

It will have push mode, with 4 sectors to attack/defend, probably 2 flags each. I intend to create a Pantherturm with the existing Panther turret model and replace the french building sign textures with german ones.

I´m thinking about this vehicle loadout:

1 IS-2
2 T34-85
1 SU-152
1 Katyusha (after capping first sector)

1 King Tiger (after losing first sector)
1 Panther (after losing first sector)

Any suggestions are more than welcome, beta-testers also!

I´d like to contribute somehow to this amazing mod and community. Back in FH1 I made a few vehicle variants including coding, skin and model. I also tried my hand at mapping. I´d like to know what the community would like to have right now as priority so maybe I could work on it.

I bet it has been spoken over a thousand times but yet again... Why do you allow such an arcadish feature in this type of mod? It really kills realism. What do you think?

Modding / Soundpack

Hi! I wonder if somebody would be interested to make a mini soundpack as an optional thing to have. No big deal, some small changes like change soldier´s voices, honking horn sound (all vehicles have the same sound), adding more explosión sounds, crashing sounds, running and walking sounds etc. I would be interested to help providing the sounds if someone is able to introduce them to the game itself. I used to do that (and even created skins and new vehicle variants) for FH1, but I have no idea about FH2 modding and I dont really care about learning. There are lot of sounds that could be added to the existing ones just to randomize them more, that would give the game a more authentic feeling. A lot of improvement could be done with very Little effort. Anyone interested just post here and lets get started!
